Sorry about the cut, Paul, but it sounds like a great shave otherwise. I'm so popular people offer to slap the AS on my face for me. I've even had people do it without the aftershave--popularity... it's a blessing and a curse.

It may also be your angle, too steep or too flat can lead to irritation. Are you changing the blade after each shave? Flowers and pink polka dots are girly. No cufflinks today, casual Friday here:
TGIF or as we say in Korea, Burn Friday! I wanted some bling and so class to my shave today. This Revisor has fancy boosters a gold leaf, the spine is beautiful but is you can't see it in the picture. The shave did more than look fancy, the result...... epic.
I actually kind of like it--a nice sound and feel to it. Pull one half of the blade out and keep the other half in the paper for the next shave. Or some blade brands sell them pre-split--just the halves. But where's the fun in that?
Evan! Good to hear from you again. Awesome looking shave and brushes. I need to follow your example and back off a bit. I start off every shave with, "For now, just wipe off the lather--the closeness will come." Then halfway through the shave I start scraping away. It's got to be a compulsive thing. Like trying to suck a Jolly Rancher candy down to nothing--Pop it in and two minutes later, CRUNCH! Even if I know it's going to weld my jaw shut and pull out fillings when I prize my jaw back open.
