  3. Shavette shave #4 in the books . Weeper right under nose but dont see a nick. Did nick side of chin a bit from over confidence trying to go beyond where I usually stop since the blade was gliding along so good. Oh well. After cleanup can barely notice it . Going to try my first shavette head shave now , should be an adventure!

  8. Thank you, Jason! I had the same thought on the looks of the razor. Or really does have the cage head vibe to it.

    The Shave...
Better today. I focused more on removing lather rather than focusing on my facial hair on the first pass.

2nd pass was more like a controlled chase, but far more controlled than yesterday. Really it was more like adding an additional 3rd pass by the time I finished, but considerably less obsessive than yesterday.

Still, if I had my druthers, I’d prefer 3 dedicated passes rather than “touch-ups” that equal an additional pass. I’ll try that next time round to see how things turn out. I’d like to get away from the buffing--for me, touching up always goes straight to buffing.

Overall, I ended up with a DFS (minus the chin), a very small weeper on the neck, and the slightest irritation along my jawline and corners of my mouth. I’m wondering if removing the buffing might help with the irritation.

    Some Thoughts...The Chin
I’ve never really been able to get my chin squared away without significant touch ups and usually some irritation. Yes, the hair is course there. Yes, the hair grows thick there. But it’s still freaking hair! My guess is I’m messing up my angles when I get to the chin. Not just with an open blade, but with my DE razors as well--no human hair can be that tough.

    Gentlemen, start your weekends...! :D

    6 down, 94 to go…
  20. Awesome! Love that Haverford. It's too early to ask (so don't answer just yet), but know that the question is coming--which of the two TAR versions do you like more?
