I'm trying to headshave with the shavette to ramp up for MAYhem whereas I have another design to be built which involves an open blade concept. I am crazy and I know it!
this is good..training for mayhem ..i may try a lord disposable shavette. for a pass or so..living large..
I'm also playing with a Mayhem idea as well, but I don't see myself walking away from it in good shape.
Any MAYhem idea you can walk away from at all......is a good MAYhem idea. After all, you have a year to heal until the next one.
Just got back from a 5 minute test run--kind of terrifying. I need to seriously up my shavette game. Got 2 months to prep.
Saturday shave: with Spring arriving I want to get in a couple of hot lather shaves before it gets warm. The tea kettle was filled and my favorite hot lather cream, Queen Charlottes Soaps was the order of the day. The lather was hot, slick and luxurious. First shave for the Koraat after a touch up on the stones, the edge was just velvety yet uber sharp. From the first pass I had a feeling this shave will be epic... and it was. The glass bottle used to have TSD aftershave balm, now it is filled with glorious stank... CLUBMAN!
Beautiful set up, Keith! I'm fascinated by that razor--I've zoomed in at the photo and stared and stared, but I'm having difficulty understanding the grind. It's not like anything I've ever seen before. Beautiful and perplexing!
March 7th Razor: Cooper Monobilt Blade: Derby Extra (2) Brush: WWB Limedrop/TDR Fanchurian V2 Pre-shave: PAA The Cube Soap: B&M Bay Rum Stirling Bay Rum witch hazel PAA AA Bay Rum Star Jelly AS: B&M Bay Rum Good morning Excellent shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Nearly silent alum. I'm confident that the Dart is dialed back in so I've returned to the 'because it has a blade in it' from February. The Monobilt with a one use Derby Extra got the call. Love this razor! I am smoooooth and smelling good! Have a great day!
