    March 8 SOTD:

    Razor: Tom White TAR
    Blade: Gillette Nacet
    Brush: PAA Atomic Rocket
    Lather: MWF
    Aftershave: The Veg
    Additional Care:
    Unrefined Shea Butter

I skipped yesterday, so I am only going to log two shaves with the brass TAR. I dialed it up to 4, which was the highest I had gone on the aluminum version, and was rewarded with a two pass BBS. Very smooth and easy. @twhite has definitely created a couple of excellent razors here. It is interesting between the two, as they shave similarly, but still differently. The Alumi-TAR is a bit milder with a little less blade feel, and the brass with the heft feels more aggressive. But, both are extremely smooth and comfortable. A bug thumbs up from me. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

    Shave Soap & Aftershave

I am up and moving early on this Sunday morning despite the time change. Oh I do hate the time changes. Breaking out a couple of new additions to the den with this shave. The CH2 Butterscotch synthetic better known as the "Soap Destroyer" and the Fine Aquamarine soap and aftershave. Fine worked with West Coast Shaving to develop this scent. The scent description is lemon, sweet orange, rosemary, algae, oakmoss, driftwood, amber and musk. To my nose the soap opens up with a wonderful strong citrus scent over a green base. I can't say that I picked up the amber or mush during the shave. I loaded the Supply Co SE with a Personna injector blade. I am not a fan of the blades but I have so many that I wanted to try and use them up. Three passes and touch ups ended with the baby in hand but I had several weepers. I will give the Personna on more try before moving back to the Schick Proline. The Fine Aquamarine aftershave opens with the same intense citrus notes over a great base. Unlike the soap, the amber and musk come forward on dry down. I really don't get the comparison to Floid Blue at all. This scent is really nice. I am off to work today. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Nice shave this morning. I struggled a bit at the beginning, as I couldn't get much loading strength going on. The knots of the Jayaruh overpowered the soap. It's getting to the point where the surrounding bubbles of the cake soap are better to dive into than the cake itself. But things eventually straightened out., and I got 2 good passes, one weeper. This was a "Boy do I need that second pass" shave. Stoylin Gentleman finished things off nicely. Ended up feeling clean, fresh, and smooth. I'm reducing the grade a bit to Pretty Excellent due to the rough beginning.

Thanks Charlie! I gave her a false sense of security today--still pretty smooth from yesterday, and with a new toy to play with from Andrew, I made this a celebratory Sunday and kept the shavette in the medicine cabinet today.

Poor woman is going to have her hopes dashed to pieces tomorrow ;)

True! However, clip-on ties can't be removed and used as a restraining device when students try to make a break for the door rather than write a sonnet. Hog tie one, and the rest usually fall right into line. ;)

    Good morning to all.
Was gonna use my Focus R21 but everyone got up early and that put an end to that.
So I got out my Wilkinson razor and put a blade in it.
Now the blades for this razor are really not available.
I pulled out my Feather Super Pro blades and moded away.
Cutting the ends off the super pro to fit because a GEM blade is just a hair to short to fit.
Wanting to just try it out I just to see how it ran.
I hot glued it to the razor for a trial.
The first stroke was nice like no blade at all.
I got almost the first pass finished before the blade came loose.
    Darn it all any way.
The razor will get used again no matter how I get a blade to fit.
    It's such a nice shave!
Went to the box of razors, grabbed my tuck of Feather blades and finished the job.
    20200308_095250(0).jpg
A 3 piece tech with a fat handle was what I grabbed.
Did the rest of the job, 1 more pass on the face, 2 passes head.
Besides having small children wondering round, there were no issues.
Used the Lucky Tiger software again because I like the scent.
Will fix a blade for my Wilkinson razor later this week.
    All
    ENJOY!
