Caught the opportunity to enjoy an autumn day to use the gear I love so much!

The sky, this morning, was beautiful, with pink and blue stripes that you can't see in the picture just because I have a bad camera, not for my incapacity!

  11. MMMonday, Mar 9th 2020. Did not get that restful nights sleep for what ever reason. Well it was a different morning for shaving when half asleep with a razor in my hand and having to do some errands in the back of my mind.
The Micromatic did a nice job for very short stubble from previous day's very close shave. These Gem razors are very nice razors and like so many seasoned shavers have mentioned prior to me not even knowing what Gem meant "shaving worlds best keep secret" & it must be true to some degree to Newbee's & others from different country's.

Razor : Gem Micromatic Flying wing, MMBT, Gem Guiding eye.... -MFG 1947-50
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (1)
Soap: Gillette Pure mixed in with some Razorock XXX left overs
Brush: Razorock Plissoft 24mm - great little brush.
Pre-shave: Brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Post shave : Proraso green After shave lotion with witch Hazel + Nivea balm.
Results : CCS,DsS,BsS + no irritation + 1 tiny blemish weeper= [IMG] great shave in my sweet spot target area.

  12. Not much of a change for tomorrow, but worth listing(didja see that,. @Hembree ?)

    prep-Nivea 4 Men Bodywash(Max. Hydration)in shower\
    shave-Gillette Foamy Original(1949)
razor-Gillette Sensor Deuce Pivot + DisposeABLE

and the SURPRISE, I talked about in Discussion 30(or whatever it is):

    A.S.-Rise Cooling Balm(1949)**

**yep, I don't have any more shaving foams, but I still have a few of these babies laying around. I should say the Cooling Balm wasn't produced in 1949, but it does have SOME of the original Rise scent that WAS.

A wonderful and smooth shave today with a fresh Perma-sharp blade in my Taiga Adjustable. I even opened it up to 6 on the first pass. I'm off to spend some time with the family before going in for the night shift. Happy shaves all.

A very smooth and efficient shave with the Paradigm. A really good performer with a Feather Pro Super installed while still being easy on the skin, deadly on the whiskers. The LNHC soap is just an excellent performer with a scent that just is fantastic. Fresh squeezed orange with an earthy undertone that feels like fresh cut grass in the early hours of the morn. The Haramain Portfolio is a dupe of the Tom Ford classic Neroli Portofino Forte. A bit more synthetic than the TF but, a better performer and no one would tell the difference an hour or two into the dry down. A fresh burst of Neroli, citrus, a floral element and woods that smell much more expensive than what it costs. TF Neroli Portofino Forte = $350. Haramain Portfolio Neroli Canvas = $50. Yeah, I have Filet Mignon tastes with a Big Mac wallet. I’m taking the Misses out tonight for some Prime Rib & Lobster with the $$$ saved. Win, win. A great evening and shaves to all....
