  6. Thanks Jim! It happens, but it still is a good shaving soap. I sometimes go to a place where it is a fragrance free environment so I can still use it. Sometimes I will use it fir work or church. It really was a nice scent.

  7. Thanks Tim! The Shake Sharp razor was given to me by @jgreenepa, Jeff! I really use this razor for my headshaves. It is a mild razor so that I really have to do plenty of touchups. I have used it on my face, but I prefer my straights, shavettes and other safeties for that job.
  8. Thanks Patrick! It really is my mistake proof razor for my headshaves.
  9. I have heard from You Tubers that constant blooming will muddy the soap because the water seeps in between the sides of the container and the edge of the soap. Yes, I have let it airdry upside down, but it still hapoens because I leave the container in the upright position in case I need more soap. Who knows why I lost the scent, but it still usable and that's what matters. What puzzle me is that the aftershave's fragrance isn't as robust as it once was. Now, I have other Stirling soaps that are just as old and the scents are still present. Therefore, it has to be either the blooming or I contaminated the soap.

  10. Heres a very short clip to give an example
  11. I'm going for round 2 tonight of the shavette head shave .
  12. Cool color combination. looks like Edwin Jager went with a mont blanc fountain pin look alike style. I think my friend is gonna like this razor though. very classy looking. I'm about to head off for tonight. Yall have a good night! IMG_20200309_215232.jpg
  13. Great shave Tim! Until you are a more seasoned shavette shaver, I would keep the razor almost flat and than lift razor to the approximate angle. You will know it by hearing the whiskers being cuf as you perform the stroke. Just think you are almost 10% of completing this journey to 100. The great thing is even if you decide to shave with other razors, you will always have the ability to use a shavette for travel or as a fun alternative. Your safety shaves will be much better because you will be using the same skin stretching maneuvers that you learned from shavette shaving.
  14. Thanks Terry!

  17. Thanks for the tip Clint. I will try it. However, I thought if I completely rinse and then twist, shake and towel dry my brushes that they would be fine.
