    Good morning guys!
Well I am off today so I stayed in bed a little longer. Lol!
    Shavette Shave #148
    Dovo Shavette
    Rockwell DE 1/2 Blade (1)
    Rockwell Synthetic Brush
    Stirling Glastonbury SS and AS
    Nivea ASB
Well, I was planning on using my Parker Shavette, but somehow my Dovo wanted to play. I like synthetic brushes because the produce lather very quickly so that if you are in a hurry then I would say it is the way to go. Rocky is no exception. I decided to wet the brush and not shake it out. Yes, loading the brush in this manner is unorthodox, but I wanted a goopy lather. I only do this with Stirling soaps because it can handle it. I had a 40 hour stubble and wanted to make sure that my lather was slick and wet enough so I wouldn't cut myself with the new blade. Well, two passes and a touchup on my lower right neck gave me a BBS shave without Nick and Mr. Irritation knocking on my door. The great thing about this shave is that I did a Fool's Pass with a new blade. I normally wait until I have a number of shaves on the blade before making the attempt to do so. I did it because this lather was really cooperating with the slickness and cushion. Applied the matching aftershave and there wasn't any stinging. However, when I applied the Nivea ASB, I was surprised there was very little left in the bottle. Oh well, I have to go to the CVS pharmacy to get some Nivea ASB. I took my time and wasn't rushed so I enjoyed this relaxing shave. Enjoy your day guys! 20200309_230448.jpg 20200309_230448.jpg

Not sure Paul. Maybe one of the others would know more than I.

Great shave sleepyhead! The Nivea is wonderful stuff and actually still comes in glass bottles. I use their Mens products (cream, lip balm, etc) as I find they are very effective and smell nice and fresh.

    Baby, if you've ever wondered
    Wondered whatever became of me
I'm rockin’ the SRX here in Kentucky and splashin' on too much Aramis EdT

Sounds like we would have hit the same isles at Tower Records. I'm surprised Morrissey can still get it done--I've liked the recent things I've heard from him--it's rather encouraging, actually.

Super cool about meeting Morrissey, btw. I've only ever met one celebrity: Richard Kiel...

The man terrified me as a kid after watching The Spy Who Loved Me with my dad. There he was right in front of me. My wife was like, "Gee, that man is really tall." "Yeah, because it's freaking Jaws!" I said. She didn't get it. Finally had to tell her it was the construction boss on Happy Gilmore. I pretended to ignore the man--sometimes celebrities just want a smoothies--but he struck up a conversation with us. Really nice guy, actually.

Fantastic shave and post, Charlie! I remember that you really didn't care so much about shavette shaves. Congrats for completing 10% of your 100 shaves. It may be after you finish 100 shaves that you may use your shavette more frequently.
