Looking at the blade geometry of the Super Pro blades in the DX, it looks like keeping the razor a spine's width away from your face is about right. I'd be really cautious about using too steep an angle. Of course, you should be getting nearly instant feedback on angle. It's been awhile since I shaved with a Feather shavette loaded with a Super Pro, but I'll be trying it again at some point during my focus. Any chance the added weight of the Feather compared to the Dovo is causing you to shave using too much pressure? I have a Feather AC SS, and I'm seriously considering a DX at some point. I think it will be a better shaver based on everything I've heard.
I purchased an Invicta dive watch from these guys a few years back. Nice selection and good prices. It was part of my re-entry into mechanical watches. I ended up gifting this one to a young friend. Been there. Done that. You?
Very nice Evan! I don't think I've ever seen a mentholated lime soap from Stirling(Besides GATOTR), I surely would have ordered it.
So I gave my friend the Stirling baker street soap today, He loved the smell of it (as expected) along with other guys in the classroom. really happy he enjoyed it. anyway went to their website today and purchased the bay rum shave soap. heard this one is heavy on the clove, so I think it will match my clubman bay rum aftershave. looking forward to trying this one out. was very impressed with the baker street scent. Gave him the razors today also, but i'll get the blades by his house this weekend.
Good for you, Myles. I'm glad your friend initially like the gear. He's fortunate to have a shaving mentor to help him get started.
