The curves, thumb-notch and jimps on your Napoleon razor are simply amazing — love this guy!

    Today's shave

    Razor. Royal n1 japanese razor

    Strop. Parker latigo

    Soap. Flowers in the dark

    Aftershave. Lucky tiger

Brush. Craving shaving first brush made. Padduk

The razor is another amazing japanese razor. The more I use japanese razors the more I love them. They just always give a great comfortable shave. The brush I got from craving shaving. He had it listed and said it was the first brush he ever turned. I really love that it is wood. Eventually I will get a nice badger knot installed. the handle is just a great shape. Locks into the fingers and doesn't feel like it will slip out.

That is a fine looking razor, always happy to see it when you post it.

I have become a big fan of Japanese razors too.

As long as we’re doing Japanese razors... I used my Suzumasa Frameback this morning. This thing is top notch!

It’s a crazy Monday for sure. I’m testing 3 of the 4 stones that I got from Alex G. with 3 Gold Monkeys. Two are softer kiita (yellow) stones and one is a harder greenish stone. Cream was SMN lathered with a Simpsons 58, and AS was ABC almond balm. Surprisingly, the edges were all about equal. That;s a good sign for the softer stones, many times they aren’t as fine as these are.

A Newly acquired, and honed razor, from Spain. I had a glass smooth, 2 pass shave, that left me BBS., on a 4 day growth. Absolute joy to use this. It was just as smooth ATG as it was WTG. Zero issues, other than it not lasting long enough.

Razor- Filarmonica 14. "Doble Temple". Spain.
Brush- B-400 by Tom(@twhite ). Omega Boar knot.
    Soap/Cream- AOS Kingsman, "Bourbon".
Aftershave- Vintage Shulton Old Spice. Ships Cannon decanter.

Smith & Hall for this evening out of Sheffield. “Patent Hollow Ground” on the blade face, with hollow ground defined very much like a near wedge.

Sporting a super comfy Coticule edge... providing a very enjoyable, relaxing evening.

On a side note, I think I solved a mystery that I’m sure all of you were losing sleep over :)...

That unknown Sheffield I used back in January, that I thought could be a deer:

I just lost an auction, but found my answer. It is a F. Fenney, and seems to be a pretty early stamping.
    Seller’s photo:

Started making razors in 1822, granted the Tally-Ho trademark in 1833. I know C.T. Bingham took over the trademark after he passed in 1852 and held till 1863, stamped “C.T. Bingham, Late F Fenney.” I’m thinking maybe this puts the razor in the 1822-1833 period.

Mystery solved and you can all now rest easy. ;)

Friedr Herder for me this morning. It’s not much to look at, but it shaves great! A quick 2 pass shave left me feeling smooth and clean. On a side note, the fragrance of this Nefertiti is sublime!

This razor has some notoriety in my den for two reasons. One, it is the only bellied-hollow I own. The other is it took a chunk out of my face one fateful day and left a lasting scar.

It’s a noisy shave but left me smooth with a wonderful shave :happy036:
