  1. Myles I rode the special ed bus to classes for the struggling students. When finally tested for Dyslexia my indicators were so strong the resource center was surprised I made it into college at all. Now I am a technology subject mater expert managing a system earning the company billions a year. Tou will find your niche and don't worry about these guys jokes. They really are funny anyway.

    You are doing great.

  4. I need to catch up on the posts later. Thursday shave was the final shave for Queen Charlotte Soaps cream :sick013:. I am gone to miss it, they made my favorite cream. My Nichiri needs a better wipe before I take the picture, the shave was just excellent.

  6. Good Thursday morning!
Supposed to be nice today, hope your day is great!
Pulled out a Ever Ready 1912 to test for soundness from the box.
Loaded a new GEM Pesonna blade to try out this little guy.
2 passes on the mug, 2 passes on the gord with some touch up.
Hey and no blood, scrapes or other nasty stuff like that.
I'm not sure if anyone would want this razor round here.
Most are still working on changing from carts to DE's.
They're not quite ready for a jewel like this.

    Good morning

Awesome shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Just the lightest tickle from the alum under my chin.

    Have a great day! [IMG]
  9. They have great You Tubers who show you how to hone on stones and films. Lynn Abrams is considered the master on honing with stones and Mike Baker as well as Slash McCoy on lapping films.
  10. Great shave and that's a shame about your favorite soap, Keith!

  20. Knives and razors are sharpened differently.

Razors by design, use the simultaneous contact of the spine and edge to maintain the bevel angle and use very fine abrasives.

Knives are plenty sharp at 1000 grit, which is a starting point for razors. The bevel angle is greater, must be maintained manually or by a helping device.

Professional honing can be $30 for a razor, $10 for a knife.

One might use stuff like this to sharpen razors.

And something like this for knives
