My Bride had an appointment with her oncologist yesterday. He asked us to quarantine due to her elevated risk for infection. It's a general precaution at this stage of her treatment, although the coronavirus is a special concern in her case since there is no serum.
Overall, she's doing great, and our oncologist is checking with Mayo to see if she can proceed with the transplant. We both need to stay healthy and be ready to go anytime. Unfortunately, the coronavirus might affect the timing due to Mayo's patient load and also due to concerns about the procedure completely wiping out her immune system at the present time. We trust our docs will make the best decision.
We’ll need to make two trips, one for preliminary testing and another for the transplant. Our doc says we’re driving and taking our own food to eat while we’re on the road.
In the meantime, I can run necessary errands, but that's about it. Seems a bit much, but our doc doesn't want us taking any chances so close to the transplant. We promise our docs that we'll be compliant with all their instructions, and that's the case here also.
Thankfully, I should have enough blades to last for the next couple weeks.
The brass Karve I had picked out for our doc is still on back order. We decided to present him with
@Jayaruh's
JR #384; Stirling Executive Man and SV Cubebe soaps and matching aftershaves; and a supply of Feather and Voskhod blades. He couldn't get over the workmanship of the brush. He said it was beautiful, and he was correct! I think we have new convert in our ranks. He made some silly comment about never having to buy any more blades. He'l learn.

He rolled on the floor when I described the various shaves: CCS, SAS, DFS, and BBS. He even ran up and down the hall and told everyone about the gifts. Just like a kid in a candy store. He is a fantastic doc and a very caring person, and we have truly been blessed by him. He's an honorary member of the Danger family.
