  3. I'm glad you got JR #386 , Joe. I like to follow the construction of Jim's brushes on his blog. I download and save all the photos of those he's created for me.

Looks like Jim is making an extra Celtic knot brush handle now. I bet it doesn't last long. I truly think this is his masterpiece design.

I do believe Spring is close. Thunderstorms and monsoon rains today made for a wonderful day on the streets of St. Louis. I'm all dried off and ready to get rid of two days of beard. The Kai Captain and Feather Pro blade are absolutely perfect for the task. Add in a mutton tallow soap from Stirling and the Hybrid brush and the lather was overboard in quantity and quality. Totally smooth run through that extra beard with no tugging, irritation or other problems. Smooth sailing all the way to a near-BBS finish and a nice relaxing time getting it. Gotta say.....it's a good way to end a long, wet day.

The highlight of the day - with all sports now shut down - the guys on "The Fast Lane" were hilarious today. It's a four hour sports talk show here in STL and they were trying to figure out just what to talk about until things start up. Very entertaining. I think they'll do fine. Hope you're all well and safe and had a good Thursday! Have an even better Friday!! Yes, here comes the weekend!!!

  15. Just in case you do run short of blades (you never know, right?) the Cartel is prepared to ship you an emergency package. We'll sterilize them with vodka prior to shipping and have Natalia deliver them personally. She said she'd tuck them in her bra. Ain't no virus of any kind that will survive in there, know what I mean?

  18. Can that move be reversed easily? The direction you describe is ATG for me

  19. I agree that the design of these Celtic knot brushes are his best work. It was the JR #384 that you shared on this thread that prompted me to get a similar brush. It also helped that I liked my JR #290. Unfortunately, he is not going to make too many more so I am very glad that I was able to get one.
  20. It is ATG,, but it is not a direct one because it is a mix of ATG and XTG. I figured that your skin and beard would be able to handle it. You go start from your chin toward your ear with the original blade orientation that I suggested.
