  2. Thanks, Andrew. There are only 4 contenders in my comparison. Right now, the GSB's rank third. I am going to reevaluate them in different razors soon.
  3. Awesome shave Danny!. Looks modded to me . The FW is a beut also.

I've seen products like coconut oil get grainy after setting over time but never soaps . Thats strange . There also could be some in the soap ingredients maybe . Sorry about the rough shave though Joseph!
  4. Curious. are your GSB's single wrapped or double wrapped? 4 small glue dots or 2 large?
  5. I'm still a little mystified by how you get your information :signs002: :happy102:

  6. That's a beautiful set up and photo, Jason! Can't go wrong with Mountain Man either. As to the shave...

Shavette Shave #12--”Horseshoes and Handgrenades… and Shaving!”

    Gear
    • Razor: Focus R21 Shavette
    • Blade: Personna Blue (1)
    • Brush: Stirling Kong
    • Soap: Soap Commander “Drive”
    • Menthol: Stirling Frost Drops
    • AS: Pinaud Citrus Musk--Again, thanks to the generosity of Keith (@Enrico) I got to take this AS for a spin today. It got the okay from the Missus pretty quickly. I was a bit concerned at first when she said, “It smells kind of soapy.” Sometimes statements like that are a condemnation rather than comment. In this case, it appears merely to be an observation (which is fortunate--at dry-down Citrus Musk sits quite nicely and has a clean, citrus-y, but slightly deepish and darkish scent). I like it. It stays around longer than the typical citrus scents that I've tried in the past... another bonus! :)
    • Balm: Stirling Glacial Unscented

    The Shave...
I fell asleep trying to write an email while watching tv in bed last night, and woke up at around 2:30am still sitting up with my glasses half off my face (never even hit 'send' for the email, either). I’m always sluggish when that happens. Needless to say, I felt I needed to adjust my routine when I got up at 5:00 this morning.

I opted for 2 WTG Passes on the cheeks because they’re easier and faster. The 2nd pass I experimented a bit with a slightly more aggressive angle on the cheeks. For the neck I went north/south, then south/north for the 2nd pass. For the chin I focused on 2 WTG passes, then some XTG cleanup.

Overall a CCS with no warm spots other than the corner of my mouth--and a small set-down that drew a bit of blood, but nothing that will require particular care avoiding tomorrow. That is a weekday shave I can live with.

Have a fantastic weekend everybody--you've just about made it! :D

  15. Nice, Tim!
  16. Sounds like a winner to me Jason! Have a great day!

Thanks Danny! She even cracked a joke about me turing 50 next week. God love her.

I noticed that Evan and DJT both are wearing ties..although different styles .

Thank Andrew! Zorriks are very very smooth....just the way I like them. No problem mowing down a couple days stubble either . Thanks for pointing me in the right direction my friend!

When it does warm up here ....yeah.....I will be rocking the Stoylin gin and tonic on the rocks ! Whew! Cant wait!
  17. Not time for a luchera mask yet eh? That means you're doing a great job Tim!!!
  18. Technically it was mutual gifting. I offered a brush to Clint @clint64 with no expectation of anything in return and he did the same. :) I wish I had more time to make brushes and replate razors. Everyone makes it so much fun! As you know with your generosity!
  19. Thank you guys. We made a command decision this afternoon. We finished up what we could this morning and filed extensions on everyone else. We will hit it hard next week but we are going to try to relax this week.
