  1. You may have noticed that schools and public buildings, major venues, etc. have been closing left and right.

This is not to prevent the spread of the virus. This is to prevent the rapid spread of the virus. The goal is to slow it down enough that the healthcare system doesn't get overwhelmed by patients.

If you get it, self isolate and stay at home. Don't go to the hospital unless you are experiencing severe symptoms.

    Wash your hands
    and
    Keep calm

  2. I'm at home today. Self quarantined. I believe I have a very bad cold, not Corona because nobody in my immediate area has it (that I know of) and I really am something of a recluse anyway. Pollen is HORRENDOUS this year, I've had bouts like this start with allergies in the past.

  3. You can quialify for services at 60+ in this town, anyway. Course I'm a "young Senior". But of course we respect and appreciate our elder friends.

  4. Im not afraid for me. But it's upsetting to think i could pass it along to my parents. They have the medical issues that would put them in great jeopardy. It would be horrible to even think that I could introduce something into their environment that would be so detrimental to health.

  6. As mentioned above, I got sicker and sicker yesterday but figured I could make it through the day at work. When I woke up I felt so rotten I knew there was no way so I called off. But around 10 am I dragged myself to the health food store up the street to pick up a few things. Took the stuff and slept most of the day.

About an hour ago, I suddenly felt 75% normal...headache gone, sinuses better, cough less, energy up. If I'd felt like this when I woke up I would have gone to work without a second thought. Know how you feel when you're just starting to get sick? That's how I feel now.

For what it's worth, what I took today are

    •echinacea goldenseal capsules
    •elderberry syrup
    •colloidal silver

These were coupled with my normal coconut oil intake.

There is no way whatever I have (prob just a very bad cold+allergies) was about to let up this soon. No way. This combo is working great for me.

Just passing it on, hopefully as a helpful tip. If you want to know the brands, p.m. me. Don't want anybody to think I'm a shill for any company.

  7. Wait till the kids who are cheering right now realize they're going to be making up that week in summer.

  8. I agree, David. If you live with a spouse that has reduced immunity (I do), spend time with medically fragile kids (I do), or have elderly parents or friends (I do), you have a moral responsibility to think about it. My wife's doc quarantined her yesterday, and he limited my trips to essential errands only. I'm OK with that, and here's my reasoning.

In 2020, we find ourselves having to educate folks on how to properly wash their hands. And I know that many folks are not paying attention. We've all seen guys do their business and walk straight out of a public toilet without washing. I heard someone laughing about the hand washing thing the other day. I would not hit someone with a 2x4 for the heck of it because it would hurt them, and everyone would know I was being cruel. It's more cruel to anonymously pass on a life-threatening illness to someone by failing to properly clean my hands. The only difference is that nobody would know if I decide to skip doing the right thing to save 20 seconds.

I believe that real men think of others before themselves. Show me one, and I'll shake his hand. ;)
  9. Bostonians must be furious....no "State Politician Breakfast" on the Sunday of St. Patrick's Day, no St. Patrick's Day Parade, and now they are moving the Boston Marathon to September. All 3 are huge traditions.

  11. Better for what?? The healthcare system not the Bourbon.

  12. Our church sent out an email saying all services are cancel until further notice, but service will offered online. This is due to the governor banning gatherings of 500 or more.

  16. No system is perfect but lots of folks from socialized countries, if they can afford it, come to the U.S. for various medical treatments that they'd either have to wait in line for (rationing) or just do not have back home.

Some have had health conditions that would exclude them from treatment (panels...they are rejected because the expense of keeping them alive was deemed greater than their worth to that nation's system).

Celebrities and leaders have come here, while trying to keep it quiet. Odd, that...kind of like the Pentecostal faith healers who tell TV audiences that all they got to do is send "seed faith" money and God will guarantee them a healing. Then, you see a quiet news article that the preacher went in for cancer surgery or heart bypass without ever telling anybody in the audience.

  18. That's how it works. You feel a little bad, then all of the suddon, nothing. Get tested, for yucks. Or just stay home. It's going to make its way through our population anyway, so, better to get it sooner, than later.
