March Madness/Shavettes March 17 Razor - CJB Greager/Feather SS Blade - Soap - Arko/Oleo Soapworks El Caballero Brush - VDH Boar/30DC Meet Up w/ SynBad bulb Post - Alum Time to have double the fun!! Well, maybe not that, but how about double pain sticks?? Works for me. It's been a couple of weeks since I shaved my head so it's set up to need a pain stick to make things easy. The CJB Greager is a perfect match for that task, along with a fresh Feather Pro blade, Arko and the VDH Boar brush. It's always fun to use a pain stick on my head and it produces a magnificent finish as well. One minor incident that let a few drops of blood out of my cranium, but nothing worth mentioning beyond that. Just didn't stretch the skin behind my right ear and set down wrong. Minor issue. For the main attraction I pulled out the Feather SS with a fresh Feather Pro blade. The SS is the newest of the Feather pain sticks and features that funky lip on it that's supposed to make shaving with it safer. I suppose it works but mostly it forces me to adjust angle just a bit from every other pain stick I own. Still, no worries, three passes to a near-BBS and the El Caballero and 30DC Meet Up brush provided all the lather and slickness I needed. Two pain sticks - two great shaves! Hard to beat a night like that. Hope you're all hanging in there. The craziness continues to swirl but I'll just keep shaving my way back to normalcy. Have a great Wednesday!!

2020-03-18, Wednesday When I woke up, the sun was already high and, by now, temperatures are turning to spring: I have to accept to begin using summer soaps. But... baby steps! Today I've chosen a British classic which is a good ferryman to the fresh ones: I'll go back to the beloved winter lathers around July/August, when the weather will be again late winter like! The EdT is a bit 'warm' indeed... Williams Wednesday's Shave Cold Water Rinse Williams Mug Soap Jayaruh #391 Synthetic Gillette New Standard Tuckaway Gillette Silver Blue CWR Pinaud Clubman I used the Williams without the mug. The Williams Mug Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #391 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette New Standard Tuckaway with a Gillette Silver Blue blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
