  4. Very good on first try Paul!
It's better to have a brush that's to dry than to wet.
If your to dry, a quick dip of the brush tip in the water does the trick.
    Sounds great.

  5. Yes, the more I mess around with my face the easier it seems fort he fragrance oils to react with my skin. At one point I thought maybe I'm reacting to lanolin or tallow, but Soap Commander has neither of those, and my skin will start to burn a bit if I mess with it too much. Add scraping a sharp piece of metal to the mix, and things get dicey quick. I'm convinced it's the fragrances. I should probably be using unscented soaps, but can't bring myself to do it--I likes my smells when I shave :ashamed001:

Awesome shave this morning with another Colonel Conk soap. The Conk soaps do an excellent job and definitely are soaps that I will keep in rotation. No weeps, nicks or blood loss. Alum was barely noticeable. The ATT Calypso does as excellent job with a Feather.

Y’all have a great hump day.

  9. Thanks, Joe! :D

Admittedly, I'm trying new things every day, when I should probably just be working on muscle memory, light pressure, and wiping away lather. I was that 5 year old who, when his father was teaching him how to ski, simply turned mid-lecture, pointed the skis down hill, and just... went. Dad caught up with me before I plowed into a service shed ;)
  10. Thanks, Clint--it's been slow so far! :)
  11. Great shave, Danny! Out of all the 'flavors' of Conks, Amber is the one I'm most curious about: I can guess at all the others, but what in the dickens does 'amber' smell like? :happy102:
  12. Thanks Jason!
Well, to tell the truth, I really did think about it.

  14. Fantastic shave Danny! I have seen YouTubers use Col. Conk soaps and they work fine, but you have to put a little elbow grease to get a nice lather. You can't go wrong for the price point.
  15. Nice razor Jason!
    The ear thing happens.
    A nice shave anyway!

  17. Thanks Terry! I am doing a mini focus on this razor because my maiden voyage was fine, but not up to my standards. Three more shaves with this razor and I will consider it dialed in to my satisfaction.
  18. 16 and going strong Tim!
