Sure if you want to try some of my off the beaten path SE razors I'll send a few your way like this one.

 

Sounds good to me. I will get a few together and get out by weeks end.

 

The Clauss a razor we are both familiar with though it has more blade exposure can shave not as aggressive since it can cut hair much more efficiently and smoothly when used in the same manner. They are about the same for closeness of shave.

Razor: Gem 1912 - Mfg 1921
Blade : Gem SS PTFE (5)
Soap: Razorock Lavender
Brush : Yaqi tuxedo knot 24 mm "Sagrada Familia"
Preshave: brush wash the face with CeraVe hand bar soap.
Prep : cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Post shave: Razorock King Louis Lavender aftershave with witch hazel + Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + minor irritation + 2 blemish weepers= great close shave.

Are you UK based, if so I would be prepared to pass on one of mine at mates rates ie what I paid.

 

U.S. based here. Thanks for the offer though. I don't see to many for sale even on the bay.
And the U.S. has even fewer of the black handle one I really want.

The Black Handled ones were made in UK. In fact most were produced in UK I believe, hence the scarcity in USA. I did sell one on to Mr Tom White
and found labelling the parcel a pain. I think the only black handled one I have left is NOS and a keeper.

I normally enjoy Shaves with this Razor, but this relatively fresh blade did not want to work. I do not often use a Chick blade, having discovered the Schick Proline quite early on in my Injector days.

 

Wow. Beautiful collection. Oddly I'm not usually a big fan of yellow gold but on razors I really like it. I also don't usually go for purple but on the PAL and one of the pens I made someone It really looked good. I was very tempted to keep the pen, it was purple with white swirls. So I guess the purple collar with white handle most spark the same fire.
Do any of the white handles have the same taper as the black? I've seen one medium gray that appeared to.

After an awful Shave with this Razor due to apparent blade failure, it was only on its 3rd use and this Razor normally Shaves well. With a fresh blade the Shave was really smooth and the finish was truly excellent making up for the disaster yesterday.

Razor : Oneblade Core Version 2 - MFG 2018>, excellent daily driver(one of my best)

Blade : Gem SS PTFE modfied (7) , what is there not to like with this great blade that I use in 40% of my razors!

Soap: Razorock Lavender- one of my favorites!

Brush: Yaqi Cashmere 24 mm - I like this brush!

Preshave: Brush wash my face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.

Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 3.

Post shave: Razorock Emperor aftershave with witch hazel + Nivea balm.

Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers =excellent shave!

When first delivered this Razor had a defective blade retention plate, I overcame this problem by borrowing a No2 plate from my Oren Razor. I Shaved very successfully with the No2 plate, though on the mild side. I asked for and got a No3 plate and have used it with different blades . The Shaves seem to be getting better and better, the one this morning was in lieu of an Injector one and to say it was good would be an understatement.
In fact I will do a repeat tomorrow before resuming my Injector rotation.
