  2. Ha! My watch spreadsheet wouldn’t even be worth the time to start. I currently own all of 3 watches- The Wittnauer you’ve already seen that I wear to work, a Swiss Army I wear on the weekends occasionally and an el Cheapo Timex Marathoner I use for running.
I like to look at all the great watches on here, but that is one rabbit hole I’m not going down...

  3. Awesome shave report, Joseph! :D

That lather looks amazing, but I hear that it's best to have it on the runny side when using a straight or shavette. I still might be slightly under-hydrated for an open blade. I'll have to experiment a bit

  4. Might be just what the doctor ordered to fend of the denizens of Isle 12, no? Something to consider ;) :happy102:

  7. As you already know, I agree with you 100% on the triple milled vs croap efficiency debate. I have new pucks/tubs of Fine American Blend (3x milled) and Stirling Mountain Man (Artisan soft soap). I don’t often keep track, but I will keep track of the number of shaves on each. Right now it is 2 on each. The Fine is 3.5 Oz and the Stirling is 5.8 Oz. Both are a similar price. It will take me a long time as I won’t just use those two, but let’s see which I get more shaves out of.

  8. Enjoy the play tonight, Charlie...at least the popcorn will be cheaper.

  9. Little late, but it's that day of the week again-here are the FRIDAY FILES:

-I tried "pressing" a new soap(a sample of PAA's Planet Phoenix, PIFed by @ram57. Thanks again :). I'll see how I shave with it-should probably give it a try before warm/hot season. I now have two bowls of soap atop my fridge(PAA and the Burma Shave). By the way, I also received, in the same package, a sample Bill Neuman Heartwood. I think it's a "shaving cream soap"-it's softer than the PAA soap, whiter, too. Came in a small tin, therefore I'm not sure whether to try my smallest brush, or just do a hand/face lather. Both soaps smell good :).

-What's happening with the thread YO? :-(. I miss the group(well, there's just a few of us now, but anyone is welcomed, of course. )

    -Stay safe and healthy, everyone.

  10. Good advice. I've found obliques work a lot better than a straight WTG or ATG on the chin--couldn't tell you why that is, though. I give it a few runs, but determined early on not to chase or worry it. I'll get more efficient eventually ;)

  11. Great shave Charlie. Have fun with the virtual show.

  12. Very nice pic, Clint! I feel the same way about that cream. It got sent to Screwtape in one of our trades and John likes it, so win-win.
I took today off. Seems weird to say that as I’ve been working from home, but I’m going to do some family stuff instead.

  13. Awesome Sandalwood shave, Terry! It's cool that you personally run through every razor you give away (especially considering you have so many of them ;)).

For the longest time I tried to work out lathering so I was just barely short of running out of lather by the end. I'm well over that now. Soap is fairly inexpensive, and takes a long time to get through. When the shavepocalypse comes, I'll start rationing again :D

  14. The only reason I'd consider it is I might get the Musk for a future Clubgentleman purchase. I don't know that I have the courage to attempt something that would result in-

    SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  15. The real life is the one to take care of first--always. Hope this craziness ends soon so people can get back on their feet and working again. Press on, sir!

  16. Nice shave!
I used to say I overload everyday, Terry, until I realized that for me it isn’t overloading, it’s just the way it is...:)

  17. Fantastic Feather shave, Charlie! I used to love going to the Cedar City Shakespearean Festival years ago. Been to a pretty good outdoor one in Lake Tahoe as well. Super cool that they're still running it virtually--sounds like a great date! :D
  18. So only three watches...

  19. What is this ‘Need’ thing you speak of, Joe?:)
To be honest, I often throw in some on sale blades to get me to a free shipping threshold, especially from IB.

  20. My money's on the triple milled--by a lot. Be curious to see, though.
