  1. That looks like a scary one Neil!
but you rock those open blades.
    nice!

  2. I initially used Feather blades exclusively, Tim. @NCoxSTL introduced me to Russian steel, and I've since become a fan due to their smoothness. I now enjoy the minute differences between Japanese and Russian blades, and it's fun to change things up occasionally.

  3. thank you Terry.spoiler blades are the gillette super stainless that were made in the states until the late 80s ? i am guessing..they were in the metal dispensers..these,wilkinson sword, schick de and personna were the go to blades available before carts took over.. download (1).jpg

  4. Andrew, you are progressing very well. It gets better every time you use s straight razor. When you hit your 100th straight razor shaves, you will look back and see that these current shaves were average. You are one of the few men who have joined the Dark Side of the Moon and you have every right to be thrilled for doing so.

  5. Great report Andrew!
Very impressive to say the least.
Good luck with the "different" razors.

  7. OK
    IF you want to ...
I have a package of spoilers, I got with a razor I bought.
    would you want them??
    I will never use them.
The package is unsealed so out of 15 it may have 10 in it.
I know your appreciation for things Gillette, so you would be the obvious person
    to ask first.

  8. Hi Charlie.....I go out from time to time for "errands" or "must-do stuff". I go to the gym-so far no message of a closing. P.T. appointments cancelled for the next 3 weeks, and my appointment with my "talk-therapist"(mainly OCD issues but we cover other things)will be kind of a "conference call" next week, and maybe the next time too. Supermarket and CVS are still open. One of our residents is all "masked up". Sad, really. At least there's still TSD.

  9. Awesome series of shaves, reports, and reflections, Andrew. Glad to see things are coming along so nicely. It's always fantastic to see how a 30DC transforms the experience. :D

I get those kinda visitors often around here too.

  17. Thanks gentlemen. I appreciate the kind words. I'll return to my normal two-pass shaves once the spot below my jaw heals.
    Yet! ;)
    Good man! :happy088:

  18. Y'know, it's these sad depressing, stay-at-home , how-long-do-we-have-to-be-concerned-about-this-coronavirus? times that I just want to make a big shave order just to look forward to receiving something. I mean, course I look forward to receiving& sending MESSAGES here on TSD, but I'm talkin class shave items. Well, it won't be ONE order, but it will be with various companies, to help me get set for the warm weather coming and perhaps beyond.

  19. Funny. After going to Foodmaxx and only finding one of the 10 items I was sent for, I went to Walmart Grocery. As I walked in, I said to myself, "If this trip is also a bust, I'm going to the Indian market next door and buying some Godrej--just because!"

Walmart Grocery had the groceries I needed. Is it weird that I was kind of disappointed? :happy102:
