  3. Oh ok Joseph. Good moniker for the man(oops, boy). How are you?
  4. 3 weepers prevented me from giving this morning's shave a real high mark of "excellence"(As we know, all my shaves are excellent, the question is, just HOW excellent). With the exception of a different

    Brush-Stoylin li'l brudder

    I
brought back the same barbershop team I used yesterday. I loaded the brush with a bit more strength than in previous loading, and I could see the difference it makes-the Stoylin almost looked like an ice-cream cone. Minus the weepers, my 2 passes were fine. I find it interesting that I've never developed a weeper from my "ice-chipping" moves(North to South, moving across the jawbone)". I'll say it was Pretty Excellent.

  5. Thank you Joseph. The polished brass does look better but I just hate the upkeep. It was either send it to North Shore Razors for a Gun Kote or antique the razor. Since I had the antiquing solution, I with it for now.

  8. Hi all!
    Nice shave today!
Used my Yaqi FrankinSlant and a Feather, new blade of course.
The brush Andrew @Linuxguile sent me, a nice soaking in warm water in my Burma mug before lathering.
Oh my, nice thick rich lather.
    2 passes head and face.
    Another smooth shave.
Did find the bump from the last time, not much problem it stopped leaking on its own.

Sandalwood is great for a quiet day.

Looking around for another razor or two to add to my collection of misfit razors.
I have a few heading my way.
Hope they earn a spot in the rotation.
    All

    ENJOY!

N to S is the easiest move for me too.
    The brush sounds great.

Good morning fellas, it's Sandalwood Sunday!
    Schick Inj Razor E-3
    Schick Blade (6)
    Jayarah Synthetic Brush #290
    Sandalwood AS and SS
    Nivea ASB
    Above the Shoulder Shave
This is my 5th and final shave of my mini focus of the Schick injector. I wanted to end it in style so I cleaned up the razor with MAAS metal polisher as well as to do a head and face shave. She really cleaned up very well.
Ok, let's get on with it! The JR #290 really performs well in providing me with copious amouts of lather. I did 2.5 passes on my face with touchups and 3 passes on the dome with touchups without irritation, cuts, etc. anywhere. The faceshave and the headshave was IBSS ++. In my opinion, I believe that I only have a few more shaves with this blade based on the feel of it. Hey, technically, I have 8 shaves instead of six, if I counted the headshaves separately. I get 8 shaves with my Personna hairshapers although I probably can push it to 10 so in kind, the Schick blade is towards the end of its usefulness. Splashed on the aftershave and applied the balm to end this focus. Conclusion: The Schick E-3 is a nice razor that gives me a nice alternative for shaving. I am one with this razor. Have a great Sunday fellas![IMG]

  14. Y'know, as I work my way through my shave rotation, it can become easy to bypass the cakesoaps, which are on the top of my refrig/freezer-the Burma Shave and the new one-Planet Phoenix, recently PIFed. As I've said, I prefer regular shavesoaps to the cakesoaps, but it isn't like the latter doesn't get the job done(pardon my double negatory).
  15. Thanks Joe!

  16. Thanks Joe...I survived through it. With Central Texas Soaps and Clubman, how can I NOT? :)
  17. It is a classic brush....small, but it really packs a punch. I go in all 3 directions(south to north on the cheeks). XTG on the jawline was something I tried one day, and it was most comfortable.
  18. Great lineup and shave Terry. The brush looks fantastic.
  19. Looking good Joe. The E-3 cleaned up great.
