  1. Thanks Tim.

They had 2 choices, chrome or "somthing else".
They were out of chrome and I have a chrome one, so I took the "somthing else".
So I have a chrome one, and a "somthing else" one.
The Yaqi site has the choices.
I think the "somthing else" one looks cracking.
Sorry I don't remember what it was called.
    Well...

  2. Gorgeous set up, Jason! I'll be glad to see the News again, but will miss the GC--said it before, but that brush is amazing :D

  3. Thank you Tim. I enjoy all the dupes so much, I would like to get TdH at some point. Thank you on the razor. I like the way the razor turned out. Now it fits with my no polish regime.
  4. Awesome report, Charlie--classy set up and photo, too! :D

Been a real pleasure fending off Helga with you and the others during all these shavette shenanigans! :)

  5. Our accounting office is small anyway. So only the 3 of us have been coming in to work. My largest client has most of its folks working remotely, so I have been going into their offices twice a week. I think I will stick with the current routine until something forces a change.
  6. A+++++ for the awesome metaphor--I'll be stealing that one first chance I get.

  7. Hey James, glad to hear from you!
I don't use the R41 very often because it doesn't give me a very comfortable shave.
When I use it, a new Feather blade is the weapon of chioce.
I get a great shave, but it grinds the skin so much.
I have other razors that match it in performance and aren't as rough as the R41 is.
Glad to see your still around!

  8. Just got a report from my sister: for her maiden voyage with a DE set up, she opted to use the Parker Variant (set at 3)--she loved it!

    New convert status... confirmed! :D
  9. Keep going Gentlemen. :eatdrink047:
You'll talk me into trying an open blade head shave in short order.
  10. March 22nd

    Razor: Dovo Inox
    Brush: Jtspartan
    PS: Proraso Green
    SS: MLS Colonia Di Agrumi
    AS: Proraso Green

I ended up skipping my shave on Saturday which seems to be a pattern lately. That means I had a nice 2 days of stubble to take off with the Dovo.

The lather was very nice. I'll miss this MLS soap when it's gone and I got this back when I only had 3 soaps so its about half gone. Probably last years now.

The shave went well with no real issues. 3 passes to BBS on my face. Still can't get the angles quite right for BBS on my neck. Can't say I tried all that hard either. It wad time to get the family on schedule for home church.

  11. Thank you, Clint! :love055:
  12. Nice post, Jim! I can't wait for this disruptive episode to be over. Until then, peace out!
  13. Rimshot!
  14. Beautiful brush, Clint. New...:signs002:
  15. Thanks Tim! Science people can hard "Scrabble" and cross swords with linguistic legerdemain with literary legends just like you and the other English devotees of fine Literature.

  17. I sometimes use a straight or a shavette to shave my head to keep my skills sharp. Yes, it was an intended pun and you know you want to headshave via open blade. I don't use mirrors to shave the back, but I would suggest that you do if you decide to venture into uncharted territory.
  18. Super shave Evan! I never got into MLS soaps, but I seen nothing but excellent reviews. It is a shame that it went out of business.
