  1. Everybody was Kung Flu Fighting
That bug spread fast as lightning

In fact, it's a little bit frightening
    When the chest starts tightening

It came from some old market
    In a massive Chinese town

There were bats, pigs and eels...
Turtles and fish lay on the ground

    What we now have learned
    It's Chinese lesson one

    Before you eat the bat
    Make sure that it's well-done

    Or else you'll be

    Kung Flu Fighting.....
  2. Thanks Jim...I'm tempted to do 3 shaves with this(to break my pattern of 2 days with same setup, then on to the next for 2, etc. )
  3. I'm more into Kung Fu SHAVING, muhself, -minus the Kung FU
  4. Great Charlie!!
I got my novice ticket when you were only alowed xtal control, and had to wait to advance to the next level.
Used an Eico xtal transmitter, and a Harmoland receiver. Talk about Tweeting, 20 watts, woo hoo!
Went green with a set of Twins, added a 301 to replace the tube receiver, heaven then.
    Got divorced, lost it all...
Got back in when the code was dropped for general ticket.
Got a Kenwood 570 and a TL 922A amp. Put up a 300ft flat top up at 50 feet fed with 600 ohm feeder and a ballanced / ballanced tuner.
Had great fun till an ice storm took it down 8 or 9 years ago. Not able to get it back up then.
Been saying I'll get it up this year.
Got to get my Hytower fed again too.
Need to get the hard line ran to it. It got dug up installing a septic system.
    Did 160, 80, 40, 60 and 17 meters.
Had lots of fun last "real" sun spot peak. What 15 or 20 years ago or more?
    17 and 10 world wide 100 watts!
Oh well, those were the days.
Kilo Brovo 8 Lima Zulu Golf.
I liked my 2 by 3 so I kept it.
Sounds great when you beat it out on brass.
Nice to see another ham around.

  5. Thank you Jim. The flash makes the home computer desk look much better than it does in real life.

  6. Thanks, Rick! Normally I just use GIMP photo editor, but with all of my kids exiled from school and working online, getting to a desktop has been challenging--Snapseed seems like the perfect workaround. Played around with it already and liked what I saw: plenty of features, easy to use, lets me resize exports, and free. Sold! :D

  14. We did leave Lumberton for Sugar Land, which is on the SW side if Houston. Like most things, the move has had its ups and downs, but overall, it had been a good experience. Of course, at the moment, it doesn't seem to matter where you are. I haven't left my home since Thursday, although my wife has gotten out a bit. Today, I get to swing by the office (when was the last time you heard someone utter that phrase in a positive manner) to pick up something.
  15. It will officially be a No Shave day for me. I just don't have good enough reason to shave every day at the moment. I hope the time home for most of us is fruitful.
  16. :D
  17. i am well Paul ,thank you..:)
  18. Hi guys!
Hope every one is doing well!
I just wanted to share with you about getting a great lathering bowl for $1.09. Actually, it is six for that amount. I went to seven eleven to pick up the paper and my coffee and decided to go to the local Dollar Tree Store. I am not a bowl latherer, but I decided to see if I can find something on the cheap that would be possible to try it. They really have smooth bowls that would fit my specs. I wanted something that was light weight, easy to hold and protuberences on the bottom. Voila! I found these plastic bowls that fit perfectly. Now, some people might night like this bowl because it is very wide 5 inches and 1 inch in height, but this thing really works! I had to work it to get a nice peaky and thick lather, but you can't argue with the results! I was impressed when I brushed the lather on my face. The best thing is that the bowl was easy to clean, and that is a big plus. Also, I am able to leave the brush in the bowl without worrying about it falling and making a soapy mess. So, for those of you that were thinking of bowl lathering, but didn't want to spend the bucks or use a bowl from your kitchen, then I think this would be an ideal solution.
