What Straight Razor Did You Use Today?

Beautifull razor. I like the form of those shoulderless razors. I have a grelot petit coiffeur and a famex with the same shape. I should get ready.

 

Proraso white shaving soap + proraso green as

Razor was a Le Leppeleray.

The precious swede with a dwarf (le gnome) on the tang.

Finish was a piece of thurungian.

 

Thank you, it took me a couple shaves to get used to it.

some razors just shave better than others, and this is one of them. Filly Novodur 14, almost 8/8, and it gave up a 2-pass BDBS shave in no time. Cream was SMN lathered with a Keyhole 4, and a dab of SMN balm finished up a perfect 10/10 shave.

 

No name, warranted hollow ground with a lovely smile.
The RR Classic is a good 12 years old and still gave a luxurious, thick lather.

I pampered myself today with my biggest blade and one of my best razors along with my favorite shave cream. It was a top notch shave in every way.

Shave # 86 with the Filly 14 Sub Cero edge longevity test, still rockin’. I’m a bit behind and have 4 shaves left for my goal of 10/month because of testing other stones and razors, but ai’ll catch up. Cream was AoS Ocean Kelp lathered with a Rooney Beehive 1, and a splash of Myrsol AB finished off a nice DFS shave. The +20 linen last time seemed to help.

Yes there are, and I have one I will post in about 3 weeks. I recently got a W&B FBU and is on it's way to @gssixgun to be honed. It's a big blade 31/32 almost an 8/8 but it will probably be a little smaller after honing.

 

Since everyone is focusing on China and what just came out, I decided to do a Chinese Razor shave. I had a very smooth, 2 pass shave, that left me near BBS. No touch-ups. Very nice shave, and good steel, from China.

Razor- Chinese "ZY Pro Extra Sharp 430+"
Brush- C-MON A-4. Original Boar Knot.
Soap- AOS "OUD" cream.
Aftershave- Hill Country Arctic Blue

 

Honed up some smaller Heljestrands to use this week...

Kicking it off with this 5/8 beauty in ivory. Blade face marking of “Söderfors extra specialstål” or Extra Special Steel from Söderfors.

Just a wonderful experience.

Since Japan claims to have almost no Corona cases I went with a JWest razor today, Nichiri. Yesterday was my Monday safety razor shave.

 

The new pup has kept me busy and sleep deprived, so yesterday was the first day in ages that I didn’t shave. Today, this Fili 13 Novadur cut through a 2 day beard with ease. I feel human again!

Fantastic shave, with a razor, living on borrowed time. I had a great 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. No issues.
