Thanks guys. I was pretty scruffy when I started shaving, and I was initially just looking for a regular (usually pretty good) shave. As I got started, I just kept going, thinking how funny it would be to get an epic shave from a $3 Travel Tech.
Tim, I was partially inspired by your Sunday shaves where you continue to buff and chase the little tyke with reckless abandon.
Keith, I was also partially inspired by your routine four-pass epic shaves. When I first started DE shaving, I would perform four passes. My face would usually be on fire afterward because my technique was so poor. I still don't think I could get away with successive four-passers without paying a price.
Jason, you're right about the handle on the Tech. At some point, I will try a heavier handle on it. Part of tonight's fun was just to see what kind of shave I could achieve using a less-than-optimum razor. It's nice to know I can take this little razor on a trip and know that it will provide an excellent shave.
There's always been a voice in my head (it sounds like little Calvin) that tells me I should try a nine-pass shave sometime. This is actually something I've always wondered if I could do and how it might feel. (Nine passes? Don't ask me why? It's the 30DC, and stranger things have been done here before. Move on.) I've never heard of anyone doing a nine-passer. I'm sure I would be reasonably OK if my technique is on point. Maybe this is something I'll try for fun with a DE razor (nope, not a shavette, just nope) once things settle down. I don't think I'll push my luck right now since I'm under home incarceration. If something went wrong, I'd have a hard time justifying my actions. Oh well, now I have a future goal.

I sure hope I don't need to venture out in public for a few days. I'd have an incredibly hard time not touching my face.
