The Shave...
Had a bit of a breakthrough today. After chasing without sufficient lather yesterday, I thought I’d take things easy on my face. I started the shave with the idea of just going for 3 WTG passes. The 1st pass went how the 1st pass typically goes--moderate reduction, and drama free.
Went for pass 2, and really focused on stretching. Slow and deliberate strokes. It took forever, but I was getting to some of the areas that I figured would never get shaved with an open blade. Because I was so focused and taking my time, fatigue was starting to creep in, and I was afraid this would affect my 3rd pass. After a quick cold water rinse, however, I discovered I was actually feeling pretty good as-is. Dried off to take stock of the situation: Somewhere on the CCS side of DFS/CCS--absolutely no irritation. Winner! Makes no sense to push things that are already going just fine, so I cleaned up and called it good. And it
is good.
My stick of Soap Commander Drive was starting to feel a bit on the light side, so I decided to take a quick look at where I stand. For all you jar-loaders: this is the equivalent of a moderately advanced stage of ring-of-death syndrome.

Not nearly as dramatic, I realize, as looking at a mostly empty jar… but still. Don’t know if I’ve got a week’s worth of shaves left in this stick or not. I’m actually a bit sad about that. “Drive” is a limited edition scent, and I rather like it--Leather and Vetiver… who’d have thunk it?
Friday--be safe and enjoy your weekend, everybody!
