Is Arko the greatest value in all of shaving?

It's only March 32nd and the April thread is already 400+deep? It turns out that I've gone from no free time to lots of free time this April, so I'm jumping back in with Arko and (mostly) shavettes. I actually finished up March with Arko, and it was so good that I'm keeping with the theme.

It’s approved by the Czar and the Cartel, my friend. I am a humble voice from the minority opinion...:)

Thanks gentlemen! It's good to be here!

One positive of this whole thing is that I've been able to spend a lot of good quality time with my kids. My son is 14 and African American. We adopted him when he was a wee thing. He is now 6'+ and bearded, and doesn't miss a minute playing sports and trying to impress with his fashion sense. He's been going to the same barbershop since he was old enough, and doesn't let anyone else touch his hair. Well, he reached his breaking point and reached out to ol' dad to try and give him a high fade and trim up his facial hair. I nearly fainted. He now tells me I did well enough that we may be able to save some money at the barber. He also got shaped up with his first shavette/hot towel shave. The guys at the barber are gonna have to step up the game. Kid is now officially spoiled.

I'm with you! The Yellows are a great blade! I love my Fatip... It's become my go to razor, ahead of my R41, English Flat Bottom Tech, Post War Tech, MMOC, 1912, Schick G etc. It's such a good shave!

Lots of countries have closed their schools for the remainder of the academic year. I'm back in on Monday - we're on a rota caring for children of key workers and those most vulnerable (social care etc.).

Schools are only 'supervising' 10% of their capacity in order to best facilitate social distancing. Places must be applied for, and approved by the head.

I don't expect schools will 're-open' any time soon. It's the exit strategy at the end of the periods of lockdown that has yet to be considered by many. How do we keep the curve on a downward trajectory? That's assuming we can get it on a downward path some time soon. The numbers here in the UK are getting worse!

I get majorly jealous in April on here. It's nigh on impossible to get a Fatboy or a Slim or any of the adjustable Gillette razors, even user grade, without spending a fortune here in the UK. All of you guys that side of the pond seem to be able to find them!

    Post of the day!

  20. That could explain my slice and dice this morning. All went well, angle was a bit shallow so some adjustment was needed and hey presto, I had a bloody lip with no one else in the room to blame.

This razor is not liking ATG on my face. Or that should say my face is not liking this razor ATG.

Apart from that shave was better than yesterday. Tried a wetter lather which was also better.
