  8. I see that you used a Gillette Black too! Damn it! I'm going to use this blade in my Fatip for my next shave. I can't discount it on one bad shave. I'll take the GSB out and save it for the next one!

  9. I know there aren't many Fatip users here, but have we all seen their latest release? I'm watching the reviews over at B&B of some of the Fatip faithful. Will probably pick one up when they are back in stock at Connaught Shaving.

  12. Nowhere does it state that Slippery Elm Bark should be used as an EXTERNAL lubrication. Mic drop.
  13. Ahh, it is that kind of slippery.
  14. Great shave, Neal. The Seaforth! mug even makes a urinal puck look good. Oh, and that Toggle is also very photogenic.

    Good morning

Excellent shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Slightly warmer than usual alum.

Changed the angle with this morning's shave. I dropped the handle to a steeper angle than what feels natural. This reduced blade feel which in turn made the shave feel smoother. Much like with the Dart, I struggled maintaining the steep angle. I'll need to do more angle experimentation to confirm. I may stick with the CG tomorrow as I feel I need to refine my technique with it but that depends what shows up in the mailbox today.

    Have a great day! [IMG]
  18. Lovely blade forward shave report, Tim. How well I remember the days with little ones. Enjoy them; they grow up danged fast. It seems like it was just 1980! I’m getting a bit rammy sheltering in place, and really miss my grandkids, but having just finished a hospital stay, and being well into the endangered demographic have decided to keep on keeping on. It’s just me, SWMBO, three cats and my doxie, Gromit.
  19. This seems like a paradox, James. Were you riding the safety bar?
