Hey, has anyone heard anything from @RyX? He’d mentioned a trip down under some months ago, but I haven’t seen him for awhile?

Stainless Steel Hawks now available at IB for only $59.95!

By the way, this is not an enabling post, merely informative! :angelic007:

    Nice Toggle shave Neil!
Things around here are quite still, well near the cities.
The woods are normal, nothing changed other than I'm here, and others, all day.
    I'm curious about the cities.
If no one is moving about there, is the wildlife moving in?
That is what I would think will happen.

    Very nice shavette round Tim!
I find the harder the water, the less the lather.
I have insanely hard water, so some soaps and creams hardly lather at all.
Some lather but fail to stay, even through the pass.
Good luck finding out what's going on.

    Simple pleasures!
I noticed the small fish or minnows are in the creek (crick) now.
My grandson is excited about catching crawdad, he already captured a salamander last week.
    Nice!

    Life should be so simple.

Surprisingly fine shave this morning from the Burma Shave cakesoap. I say so because it's a pleasant surprise to see the cake gradually sink as more bubbles are showing. But for a couple weepers around the jaw(the usual place), everything went real well. 2 good passes-solid neck work using that "Y" formation. I actually "bloomed" the soap as I was preparing my face and neck with warm water pre-shave. How so. Well, some drops of the water ended up on top of the cake. That saved me a few seconds of work :). I think I might continue working on this cake soap in the summer. It'll be a warm/hot shave of course, but I'll cool things off with AV or Skin-Bracer. That'd be a great "Throwback" choice. And speaking of aftershaves, the AV Musk finished me off this morning. The 2 weepers reduce the grade to Most Excellent( yes there are higher marks than "Most").

    Good morning

Fantastic shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. A little warmth from the alum along the jawline.

I started off with the steep angle I finished with yesterday. Yeah, no. Back up to the cap then just off. Best shave so far. Now to be clear I haven't had a bad shave from this razor. No razor burn, no irritation. I'm basing my reports on the way the razor feels on my face during the shave and the feedback from the alum after the shave, which is nothing like how it would set my face on fire when I first started. Basically I'm nitpicking.

    Have a great day!

He signed on a few weeks ago. He was still in the states, and never left. He is still planning to go, but the pandemic may have stalled his plans until later this year.

Thanks Joe....funny thing about these "cakes"....they work too, presuming you do it right. Back in my Williams days, I wasn't quite sure of what I was doing.
