  6. An awesome brace of shaves, Blair--the Old Virginia looks and sounds wonderful, and that Drew Dick is an amazing looking shaver (love that you call her "Frigga, " btw--Norse goddess of marriage and love--yup! she'll let you have it if you aren't careful with her ;))

  9. Marvelous shave Maestro! I am glad you and your daughter didn't get C - 19. I have never tried those brands of witchazel, but I think Dickinson's is not quite up to par with Thayers based on my research. Again, it is a ymmv thing. Glad your fine and back to a normal routine.

  12. I always thought CrOx paste to be the most coarse. Not sure what media you are on, I use balsa for my succession starting with CrOx. Am I mistaken?

  16. No photo today fellas, since I'm using the same products for the whole month.
Gear: Rex Ambassador, Rockwell blade, Atomic Rocket Synth. Brush, A&E Spartacus with matching splash.

I achieved a very comfortable and close shave, the alum was silent for the most part. Started with setting 3 for the wtg pass and finished up with a 2.5 for the xtg, and some minor touchups.
I'm really starting to enjoy this razor now and I'm finding it very smooth and efficient. Contrary to what I thought when I first received it, I even contemplated selling it just a couple of weeks ago!
I love A&E soaps, but the scent on Spartacus remains too subtle for my liking, hopefully, I can put a nice size dent in it by the end of the month and maybe even finish it up by the end of May. I always wondered what the bottom of a tub looks like :D

    Take care, everyone!
  17. Thank you Gary, I was pleased. I never had such success with Williams, as with the Burma Shave.

Next up in the neglected razor rotation is the prewar fat-handled Tech. Such a smooth and easy razor to use. Whipped up an exceptional lather with the Jeeves. I think Jeeves is my favourite artisan lather, truth be told. Some of his scents are just meh to me, but for lather quality I think it is top tier. @MrEE mentioned an Astra focus, I was able to comply to today as there was an Astra left in this razor... Omega Pros have been mentioned by @Trigger and a few others as a great deal as well and I have many to choose from. This is my first one, and is a '49 I believe.
3 nice passes later, I am smooth enough, but this isn't the stubble assassin that some of my other razors are. A fun shaver for sure though.
    Have a great day all.
  19. You're the second person to remind me to check. @wristwatchb commenced the thing. And yes, I haven't yet come up with the top term for that perfect shave.

  20. You're grandfathering that Apothecary, aren't you? (Well, like I am with the 7 oz. Bay Rum..now they sell them at 4 oz.).
