Proraso PS - Red
Stirling SS & AS - Barbershop
Omega EVO
Bolzano superinox
Rex Ambassador
Very early morning shave today, just getting to post. Warm shower with B&BW face scrub, then Proraso PS Red while working up a Stirling Barbershop scented lather. The Omega EVO synthetic knot is a joy to use, my favorite synthetic. Whipped up a super thick mountain of bowl over flowing goodness today. But the Omega handle, well, it's gonna lose a war with a Dremel very soon.
The Rex Ambassador, henceforth called Rexie (she
earned that name TODAY) and a new Bolzano...cruising along the left jaw line, no problem, almost finished with the 1st pass....no warning.....and OWWW....found a skin bump/ingrown hair or sumthin' that wasn't apparent when face scrubbing in the shower just a few minutes earlier....and now I'm dealing with precious red fluid draining faster than a leaky unattended faucet. Gentlemen Jon's? Nope. Styptic Pencil? Barely slowed it down.... Proraso Styptic Gel? After a minute....shriveled skin enough to form a reddish bubble. Lathered around the problem patch, able to finish a 2nd pass with no more issue. Throw in a quick couple brush strokes for a final lower right neck/jawline buff. Done. Wipe a hot towel all over to clean up a bit, DFS most everywhere, save for the left jawline....which promptly started flowing again after the warm towel wipe. Yet another styptic gel smear....faucet plugged, again. Finished with a Stirling Barbershop AS dose (avoiding the shriveling skin area).
I guess I'm ready for a Tuesday. Wednesday just might be a skip day....
Love the Stirling Barbershop's take on a classic fragrance! It's a very nice, wifey approved blend. Still catching whiffs of it almost 7 hours later. If it could only make me forget that styptic episode...
Hope everyone has a Fantastic rest of the day!
