  1. Nice save, Tim! Good job getting a nice shave with a subpar lather.
What will get me is I'll struggle through a shave with a spent blade rather than take the time to swap it out mid shave. It's not like I don't have thousands of them.

  2. Nice shave Gary! Love the blues. They go well with the shiny razor.

  3. Excellent shave and honing! However, I wouldn't have dulled the blade, but would have used a pasted crox to refresh. Hey, that's me! May I ask what stones did you use and what were your progressions.

  4. Hi! My names Evan and I'm a soap bloomer...
  5. Awesome, awesome shave and report, Evan--sounds like you set your bevel and went through the progression perfectly! Like shaving with a laser, but even smoother. Congratulations :D

  6. Awesome, Evan! Great work on your razors edge!
    Thank you!
GTB is my favorite of the samples after the initial sniffs when they arrived followed closely by Cedar and Spice.

  9. Love the SR Evan. It just looks fantastic. Do you prefer the Proraso or Palmolive with Menthol?

  11. You guys are right. I gave up smoking so the cigarette money covers the current consumption so I can go look for other stuff. :happy097:

  12. Excellent points, sir. As long as I'm getting visually presentable shaves and no irritation, I'm good for a month like this.

You've got me thinking though. For a single pass, I'm getting unrealistically close shaves at times, and since I spend a LOT of my shaves policing pressure, it's got me thinking I might be unwittingly "double shaving." This is a practice that has become so ingrained that I often don't notice when it happens. Might also explain why my "single pass" shaves are taking like 20 minutes.

In the future, I'll have to keep a lookout for what's going on ;)
  13. Cool @Primotenore we have another one.
  14. Good job! I'd say I've been cutting my hair for years but really all I do is the edges.
  15. Thanks, Jim!

I thought I was the only person who'll try to muscle through a shave with a spent blade :happy102:

  16. I will do mine next time and have Maya check me as I go. That way I can get the feel for what I am doing.
