I suppose it's only fitting that you would beat me to the punch on answering Jeff's question...with images no less
Beautiful line up, Joe! That brush is awesome any day of the year, but Easter weekend is the most fitting time of all--just made my Saturday a little more special
April Focus Krampert's Frostbite~~Simpson CH2 Synthetic~~RazoRock GC OC .84/Wizamet Super Iridium~~Iced Florida Water Reporting on Primo's Saturday shave, direct from Vault 111, the one, the only: Vault Boy. "It's great to be here and I feel like we already know each other. Today, my buddy, Primo used a soap he hasn't used in a few years, Krampert's Finest Frostbite." "The soap loaded easily onto the Simpson synthetic brush, and, Primo wanted you all to know he eschewed 'blooming'." "I watched him add lots of water as he face-lathered the product into his beard. It did seem to get very smooth and shiny, the more water he added. I wonder if there is a correlation?" "He then took his Game Changer, loaded with a previously-used Wizamet Super Iridium, and proceeded to shave in many directions." "I observed, closely, as he rinsed and re-lathered twice. Finally, he took the brush and squeezed out the plethora of remaining lather and with his left hand, applied said lather, while with his right hand did some final touch-up work. I can still hear the wincing and expletives, as Primo slathered a great deal of the mentholated Florida Water onto his face. Some of those words I am afraid I cannot repeat. This is Vault Boy, signing off and wishing everyone out there in the world, a very Happy Easter."
Thanks Tim! I bought that brush because of the Celtic Cross design and the Chrisian cross plate on the bottom of the plate. My Christian faith is very important to me and I thought having this brush reminds me of it.
April 11, 2020 Blackbird Brass SB Gillette 7 O’clock Black Antica Barberia Boar Savonniere du Moulin Dominica Grand Bay Rum Aftershave Getting a late start to work today but I am somewhat unmotivated. At least I was able to get a fantastic shave in before leaving. Three passes and touch ups caught the baby with ease. No drama, weepers, nicks or blood is a win in my books. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.
April 11th Razor: Rex Ambassador Blade: Astra SP (2) Brush: SOC badger Pre-shave: PAA The Cube Soap: CF Cedar and Spice PAA Galactic witch hazel PAA unscented Star Jelly AS: CF Cedar and Spice Good morning Excellent shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Nearly silent alum. I decided to adjust the Ambassador for each pass. 6.5 for pass one, 3 for pass two and 1 for pass three. Same results as yesterday. Off the puck I really liked Cedar and Spice. Once lathered though, I found it to be a bit much. Won't be a full sized purchase. Have a great weekend!
