  1. Thank you, Tim!
Too heavy on the Cedar for my tastes.
  2. Thanks Joseph!
  3. They work fine together. Arko just smells like Ivory soap. Proraso just drowns it out. Neither Arko or Proraso Green has much staying power.
  4. cool shave and pic Evan..
  5. A guy that is 90 might say you are still young.

I don't bend so easy since I've been eligible for senior discounts.
  6. He's been playing just over 12 months now. He's lucky to have had good coaches! I definitely cannot claim any credit!
  7. Great maiden shave with the SRX Evan! Mmm! Conventuonal shaving community wisdom suggests that synthetics don't hold water as well as natural bristles. In my experience, I agree with conventional wisdom, however, I will submit that it is quicker to load and lather your face with a synthetic brush.
  8. I love my Yaqi synthetic. I used to use a cheap boar until I got this one! Now I don't use anything else.
  9. James, I know you call it football over there, but we call it soccer in the states. Football is a different sport over here. We pass the ball instead of kicking it, unless we go for the extra point by kicking it through the posts after the touchdown.
  10. At least you're consistent Jim! It seems like you overdo a lot of things. ROTFLMBO!
  11. Lol! I go to Wendy's to get my free Senior Soda! I have their key tag so I get a free frosty everytime I go as well. So 2 jr hamburgers, with the free Senior Soda and Frosty is about $2.60. If I add the value fries it is $3.60. What a deal?
  12. Oh I know this. I just call it by its real name... Since we invented it ;)

Plus how can a game which is mostly dependent on catching the ball with your hands be called FOOTball?

    Madness!
  13. I can see why, James. You’ve got a protege on your hands.
  14. Yes, we colonists have been mad since 1776!

  16. Well, not even I would probably blame the Arko, Evan. It does lather and lather easily. My sole reason for dissing Arko is the scent (and I do find it a little drying, but could live with that). I saw you write that it smells like Ivory soap. I think Ivory soap with a faint chaser of cheap lemon scented cleaner is pretty accurate. :p

  17. Good Saturday to all.
Got out my GEM Micomatic, removed the spine from a Personna GEM blade, loaded it into the razor.
Did a shave without the normal prep, just to see if I could.
A splash of hot water, then lather up.
Quite a difference to say the least.
This shave was noisy, made much more noise than normal.
Also was more resistant while shaving, some tugging and hard going.
I think this razor made it better than if I used a gentler tool.
My neck isn't red, scored, or noticeably scraped, but it was uncomfortable for a while.
I also noticed the after shave stung instead of cool like it normally does.
No blood letting anywhere, but by the way the alcohol stung in places, you'd think I was really leaking.
20200411_141854.jpg I had to use more muscle to drag the razor along the skin.
    Definitely not a smooth shave.
This razor normally just wipes the wiskers off .
    A lesson well learned.
Prep is vitally important to a comfortable shave.
    Probably won't do that again.
I'm smooth and clean, no worse for the wear.
    All
    Be safe
    Be well
    ENJOY!

  18. It'd be great if he was good enough to make it, but as long as it brings him joy, it makes my wife and I very happy!
