Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - PS Tube 2.0, ASB Star Jelly, SS & AS/C - Supreme Sandalwood Science
    Omega EVO
    ABCo 7/8

Way behind (600+ posts ).....there's been too many honey do's and other self inflicted quarantine projects.

A little catch up. Friday's shave was the Rex Ambassador, w/Gilette Silver Blue & and PAA 'John Frum', DFS+ result. Yesterday's shave was a polished SS Blackland Vector (loaded with a fresh Schick ProLine), PAA's Gondolier, BBS result.

3 pass DFS today. I can see where brushes get labeled soap destroyers....the more I use this Omega EVO, the more soap I load on it, and more lather slinging, face smearing fun! Lots of CK-6 goopy goodness, thick peaky yogurt in consistency. Absolutely awesome face feel and slickness. This ABCo 7/8 straight is highly polished stainless steel, with a really cool tang design, brownish (leaning towards red) semi transparent scales. A very quiet shaver with a thick near wedge grind. Needs to visit the hones though....it's a little tuggy even after a round on the pasted strop progression. Finished off with PAA's Star Jelly, followed with a wifey favorite, Supreme Sandalwood Science. SSS is an awesome sandalwood fragrance, lots of wood and sawdust aroma, with a hint of powder. Lasts all day for me.

Hope every has a Sensational Easter Sunday!
  4. Tom doesn’t know it, Tim, but he’s invented the perfect razor for old shakies! :bounce015:

  12. You hit the nail on the head. Head design is from a FAMEX. The adjustment is taken from a Progress. I combined different features from from several razors. Glad you had a great shave.

Good morning guys! I usually don't shave 24 hrs after a straight shave, but it is Resurrection Sunday and wanted to do a significant shave in honor of my Lord.
You will see why I choose certain items for this shave.
    Straight shave #155
Wostenholm 5/8 square point full hollow
    JR Synthetic Brush # 290
Stirling Blood on Steel SS and AS
    Nivea ASB
I chose the Blood on Steel because it was a reminder of Jesus' shedding of His Blood. I choose the Wostenholm because it wiil be my 33rd shave since I first honed it with lapping films. The number 33 is significant because it is how many years Jesus lived on Earth. Ok, let me continue with the shave report. The JR 290 did a great job of picking up the soap and giving me such an awesome lather. I just love this scent! True to form, my Wosty gave me an excellent IBSS ++ with 2.5 passes. I slightly nicked myself when I landed on my neck with the point. That's why a square point is not recommended for novice shavers because most would fillet their face. Anyway, I didn't have any irritation at all. Splashed the aftershave and did get a little sting, but otherwise it was very nice. Moisturized my face with the Nivea balm and I felt very refreshed. Have a great Resurrection Day guys! 20200412_104706.jpg 20200412_104706.jpg

  20. Fantastic photo and recap Blair. The EVO is a soap destroyer. Happy Easter.
