First of all, I want to say Happy Easter, Passover, Ostara, or whatever else you may have celebrated today. I'm quite sure there's never been one like this in the past 100 years, with everybody hanging out in their own 6 foot square space. Here are a couple of other "fun facts" about the world. For the first time in U.S. history, every state is under a declared state of emergency. And.....in the mighty Lou.......Waffle Houses are now all closed. Yep, that's right.....THE WAFFLE HOUSE IS CLOSED IN ST. LOUIS!!!! Not just one but ALL of them.

Well, one thing is still going on. We're still shaving and talking about shaving!! So who needs the Waffle House, right? I have my QShave, a Sharp Star blade, Arko, and the Semogue 1305. Who needs waffles with that?! I had a great two pass shave after a surprisingly busy day on the road today, and am now sitting here with a very near BBS and quiet alum just enjoying the latest round of rain and cold moving in. Yep, the weather is typical STL. Changing daily, hourly, and whenever it wants. But with a great shave - again- It's all good.

Hope you had a great day and let's all have a great Monday tomorrow!

  4. Very nice Keith! Somehow I'm tempted to use my Toggle tomorrow. And go look at my 1911.

  5. Love it every time you show off the ‘power watch’, Keith. What an amazing timepiece. Even the Toggle pales in comparison.

  8. That is a fantastic line up, Keith! Everything. Watch and cufflinks included.

But! Even more impressive is that you roll in wide-set pinstripes--you, sir, have panache! :D
  9. Wonderful shave, Neal! Love That q-shave :D

We made waffles just this morning--had I known Waffle Houses were closing around the country, I'd have eaten them a little more somberly.

Funny. My friend called me up last week asking for help trying to come up with an "It's the End of the World as We Know It" parody for the current situation we find ourselves in. I helped him crank out the first verse, but can only remember the first line off the top of my head:

That's great, it starts with a handshake
    Sick folk boarding airplanes,
And Bill de Blassio's not afraid

The good news is that it can't last forever, and we'll still be shaving when everything normalizes. :D

  10. For some reason I get this disturbing image of you shooting the Toggle when I read that.

Speaking of disturbing, your new avatar upsets me for obvious reasons. Where is this Free Menthol van, and why have I not been told of its existence sooner? ;)

  11. Bill, my tremors are minor, and make it difficult for me to shave easily with light (i.e. < 80 grams aluminum) razors. The brass TAR is perfect because it’s weight negates the influence of my tremors on the shave process. Most of my favorite razors are 90 grams or more.
  12. Maybe 8. I don't mind starting a new blade tomorrow. I've never stressed Feather. My other "fave blade" is GSB. It has lasted twenty-one sessions in a daily count test.
  13. I'm sure it's one of those things where it all depends on where it is in relation to you, but those shots with the lightning are beautiful. Stay dry. Roll Tide!

  16. Thanks Blair! It really was a bad and deep wound. I would have sought medical care, but with this virus and being over 6o, I didn't want to take a chance. It really is healing nicely and I am grateful for it.

  18. Nice one Keith! The Gillette toggle may not be one of your favorites, but they are hard to find, especially in mint condition.
