  1. APRIL 14, 2020 SHAVE FOCUS

with almost a week of growth had to do a new shave technique, as many have heard of, called the "J hook"
    Gold Gillette 40s aristocrat
    Voskhod DE blade
    Proraso Green Shave soap
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue aftershave
    Pinaud Clubman Talc

Pre-shave: just used a simple hot towel

  6. Some catch up......:)

Very nice James! ToBS Peppermint. Hmm. I probably need to get a ToBS sampler incoming....

Sweet setup Terry! Love your back door 'view', as well as the comments about living in the sticks (especially the one about household duties at night :happy102:). I have a couple aunts/uncles live in those areas in Mississippi, fun to visit. I'd be right there with ya if I could've gotten wifey to move before we had kids (oh, and that darn internet speed thing). The night sky is something else when there's no man made light in view (including ambient scatter from close cities).

Great report and image as always Joseph! Love the lather shot!

Wow....now that's some YELLOW right there Gary! Spectacular shave and image!

    Very nice Jake!

Awesome TAR shave and report Jeff. Love the TR6 (keep it carburetored!). Fun ride!

That was too funny Evan! Great shave too!

That J3Customs razor is one of his eBay options. You might check out his Etsy shop also....

    Super shave Joe! Nice Engels!

Wow...need some eye bleach to unsee Natalia! Fun themed shave Neal!
  7. The TOBS Peppermint is a beautiful scent. Shame is doesn't linger a little longer... It certainly makes one smell practically edible! So all this time the red marks on my neck wasn't irritation... ;)
  8. thank you Blair..:)

  9. Fantastic shave Charlie! Glad that your beautiful JR #394 did a great job on it's maiden appearance! Jim R. does excellent work.
  10. Thanks, Blair! It’ll stay carbureted, I just may install electronic ignition at some point in the future. Just don’t want to take it off the road. Am having too much fun! Great drive today!
  11. I know! I use it myself! Great stuff!
  12. Awesome shave Myles! Great choice of music! Layla was around when I was in high school and Lyin Eyes was when I was 20.
  13. Thanks Blair!

  15. Thanks Blair!
Most of the female persuasion would rather have a walmart within rocks throw.
My wife does complain sometimes, but spending a night or two in the city cures that quickly.
The internet is an issue, but there's more things to do here than that.
    Most never get to enjoy.
Like seeing the stars, or even better, have kids watch for "low earth orbiting satellites" LEO's.
    Cool!

  16. I’m actually debating the “self haircut” myself. The flow bee could help, although I do have a shop vac which may suffice. If I have enough beers and bravery I’ll send pics!
  17. I don’t know where you live, Terry, but I need to move there!
  18. Well....
I figured out some things today about my internet.
Seems that when I open a link that is picture heavy, it takes so long to load, it might just time out.
The 30DC thread is one of those.
Every time I click something it reloads the page causing another bout of slowness.
If I go to the post part and click "more options" it doesn't load the page.
Now, if I click reply on anyones post, the page reloads and sometimes stops or times out.
This makes it impossible to reply.
I've been trying to reply to those who reply to me, with limited results.
    Sorry.
I'm not ignoring others, just sometimes the page doesn't load.
Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't load the pictures.
    It's a crapshoot Every time I click.

    Oh well....
    Again, sorry!

I like it here, most can't do it.
It can be rough, in the winter.
But once you get organized and settled in, it's fine.
