  1. Nice, Jeff! Sounds like the heavyweight is the undisputed champion.

  3. Thank you Blair! Needless to say that I am extremely pleased with the way this severe wound healed and the short amount of time it took to do so

  5. Excellent post and pickup of the shave Jeff! The good thing is that you know what safeties will work for you.

  6. Great comparison, Joseph! You do speakly highly of those GC razors!

Great shave, Jim. Sorry about the weepers! That razor is getting rave reviews and being put in the same class as Wolfman, Charcoal Goods and Timeless!

Sounds like a great shave, Joe! Great job!

Tom (@twhite ) is a stand up guy and might well produce one for you if you ask him to! It's design clearly helps you out in ways other razors do not. That's a special thing!

  8. very cool shave James.great results so far with the feather.my first few times when i started daily i was on that edge (pun intended) when irritation would easily come into play if i pushed it.i also didn't use feathers but gsb blades, which aren't as sharp.after quite a few shaves in this with dfs results and technique improvements i noticed i could push it a little more, achieving near bbs more consistently than randomly.by the end of the focus i was well on the way and could get near bbs with concentration to technique.near bbs has always been my goal with these razors as a daily work shave tool.i did an open comb/gillette new series focus a while after as a challenge due to a silly fear of them.i quickly learned they were fantastic smooth shavers with the brit rfb's as the main contender.bbs shaves quickly became the semi norm when concentration again was applied.now 2 years in as a daily shaver with the same/similar technique i have reached my goal with gillettes.i can use a tech and get a near bbs without issue predictably unless i screw it up.are their better, more efficient razors ?,absolutely.but the tech and proper skills learned here gave me a solid foundation for daily trouble free shaves..
  9. Great shave and set up, Jason! :D

It's remarkably unsettling when a brush sheds (especially multiple hairs). I always feel a bit like Homer Simpson... "They grow back, right?"

  10. Thanks James!

  11. It seems like I'll be well on the way to getting effortless shaves with any DE if I can master the Tech. I'm going to follow up with 41 days on the R41!
  12. Glad the thumb is healing quickly and as expected Enrico!

  14. Awesome photos and very informative report, Joseph! I've often wondered what the difference in performance was between the two.

Now what in the world did Mario do with Luigi--there appears to be a mass extermination of iconic video game characters taking place ;)
  15. Love the image Jason! That's a bit odd on the Zenith shedding Jason. Most of the time, I short soak brushes also.....and between all the brushes I use, maybe lose 3-4 a month combined. Hopefully it's a fluke!

Great report & love the detailed images Joseph!

I think I'm piling on what Clint mentioned yesterday....That Paradigm Diamondback razor is drop dead gorgeous Jim! Great images of it (and everything)!

  16. Beautiful photo, Jim--that diamondback is stunning! :D

Sorry about the weepers, though. The corner of the mouth has to be my least favorite location for them--for me, it seems like irritation always tags along with them :angry032:

  17. very cool..you should be fine.:).that would be the hardest part for me,using one razor for that amount of time as i bore easily,it would feel like a chore again like my 35+ years of carts.although with great success of course, something i didn't have with cart shaving.my gillette collecting has afforded me lots of toys in the box ,which is a big part of the enjoyment, hence my multi tech focus this time around..:)
  18. Great looking setup and shave Joe! Love that big razor!

Nice shave & report on the TAR Jeff. I'm a fan of heavier razors also, doesn't matter which style (straight, kami, DE or SE).
  19. Fantastic shave, Joe! That Wostenholm is an amazing razor--I can certainly see how it would be a favorite :D
