  1. Friday:

hot shower with C&E Moroccan Myrrh bar soap
    TOBS Herbal PreShave gel
Gillette Black Beauty (short handle) 3 passes (9/9/7)
    Sputnik Cnythnk (1)
C&E Moroccan Myrrh cream in a warm bowl
    Jayaruh 183 Barber Pole boar
    Thayers unscented WH
    C&E Moroccan Myrrh A/S balm

First time with a Sputnik and slightly less than an average shave. I'll need to try it in a different razor and see what happens.

Hadn't used the C&E MM in awhile so I opened a fresh bath bar and slathered up with a great scent both shower and shave.

***EDIT - 2-pass + clean up. Ahh, this DE-89 head BELONGS with the Feather HI-Stainless. Great shave. Effortless cutting/mowing-down of the stubble. It just doesn't stand a chance. The (now discontinued) Shave Den soap performs extremely well. On par with the best soaps when you use a few drops of pre-shave oil and load with only a damp brush on DRY soap, then apply the thick soap to the face then work a lather with only the smallest amount of water. The result is a top-tier performance. I've found that most soaps need to have a specific prep product (or no prep), water soak (or dry surface in this case), application (a few drops of water on the brush before applying, or in this case applying the soap on thick), then applying the correct amount of water when lathering (I've found this final step absolutely CRITICAL) to get the best performance out of a soap. Some soaps can take on extra water and some soaps you need to be super-stingy with that water or you get a thin, sickly lather that couldn't protect your skin from a casual skritch, let alone a sharp, mis-angled blade.
