thank you Jeff, england acquired u.s post war tech machinery in the late 40s due to war delays,1949 being the first year they were out on the market.gillette france was damaged during the war and reopened by the brits/u.s. after the war, england supplied base plates/caps.the french made their own handles and cases..still researching more info as i find it.but this makes sense by following the model lines.cases and razors before the war were written in french.

Infection rates here in PA are pretty high. There’s talk that Philly may end up being the next national hotspot! I don’t see myself traveling to the condo for awhile. I’m about 35 miles west of the city, but rates are increasing in my local county! Que sera sera!
April Focus Chiseled Face Bay Rum~~Simpson CH2~~Pre-War Gillette Tech/Feather~~St. Johns Bay Rum Back to the Tech focus. Still using the only one in my arsenal...so far. Feather blade, day two...a.k.a. last shave with it. Finally received two CF samples. Today is Bay Rum. Now, most of you know that I am a Bay Rum snob. Unfortunately, Chiseled Face Bay Rum is probably THE most anemic Bay Rum scent I have ever experienced. Luckily the soap base created some luscious lather. Seriously, I could barely make out the scent. Dr. Mrs. Primo was concerned, as a symptom of Covid-19 is a loss of smell. Never fear, I still smell...I mean, I can still smell. Super shave, three slick passes with a really great soap base. The Tech/Feather worked well together. No irritation, nicks or blood-letting of any kind. Excellent post-shave feel. Big splash of the St. Johns. Gotta say, it is an 'OK' Bay Rum, but Dominica and Meehans are head over heels better. Stay safe out there.
It is a looker. It has more blade feel than the NO75 so it may work better for you should you decide to give one a go. This was a run of 100 razors and he seems undecided if there will be another. I've received two tickets, both in 1988. One for an illegal right on red ( I didn't see the sign) and the other for doing 67 in a 55.
I’d be very interested in one of his AC razors! They have a great reputation, but only if he slims down the head design.
Three fantastic photos and shaves Evan. The Inox is such a good looking straight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
