I'm glad to hear some positive news for a change, Neal. It must be a madhouse with food delivery right now. Friends sent us a bread and cheese sampler on Friday (yeah, I never heard of getting something like this via UPS, either) and another friend dropped off some home made cookies the week before (yep, life is rough). When you're stuck at home, it's a real treat to have something like that delivered to your front door. Be safe out there, my friend, and enjoy your day off tomorrow.
Just a tip, Doordash does offer delivery of alcoholic beverages. Not that you'd drink bourbon or anything. I delivered an order of 12 assorted bottles today, from wine to bourbon to vodka and I believe one of gin, to a rather nice gentleman who genuinely seemed happy to see me arrive. He even held his license up to the glass on his front door for me to scan it for verification. Something tells me I was the highlight of his day. Or two, or three. That was also one of my better paying deliveries today thanks to a quite generous tip.
I had just turned 60 and I was just over 200 lbs on a short 5' 7 " frame. This photo was taken just under five yrs ago. Presently, I am down to the low 170's.
Nice! I agree the one on the left needed some work, but it would be too small for me because I would be constantly wiping off the blade. Small straight razors are good for beard and sideburn line ups. The other blade look really nice. I like red scales, but none of my straights have that resplendent color. Keep us posted on how they shave. Thanks for the picture Jake!
You are an inspiration to me, Joe. Congrats on reducing and maintaining your weight thru a healthy lifestyle.
Thank you Charlie for those kind words. I have been severely overweight for most of my adult life and I thank God that I never had a heart attack. In thi pic, I was at my heaviest and would be considered class 1 obese. I am grateful to God that he helped me get to where I am right now. I pray that you continue your healthy lifestyle as well. We need to take it one day at a time.
Very nice shave Even! Great choice,no one can dislike stetson. A friend of mine introduced me to it about a year ago.
Monday and back to work. Monday is usually a safety razor shave for me and today's choice was a 2011 R41 loaded with a fresh Super Iridium. Today's big brush is a Simpson Polo 8 in Super. She is a big girl, the handle is both large and hefty, one of my favorite handles. The knot is very soft and dense, so the density gives it back bone. It is not as dense as my Chubby 2 but denser than most brushes. The shave was excellent and off to work wearing my Seiko Astron confident the time is accurate to within 0.1 seconds.
