    Wow! That's an excellent find Myles! When this pandemic is over, I need to go to antique stores on Long Island. There aren't too many around by me, but I am game to do a little detective work.

    Ouch!
    I've started to use a Silver Star blade today. These blades can be purchased at a price of £10 for 200... If they have good life, I'm going to drop on 200 of them when my mixer box of blades is empty!

    I'm with you that blades needn't be expensive... They are just sharp steel that is placed into a blade holder.

    I disagree with some common advice, though. I think if one sensibly applies a degree of pressure to the top cap when shaving at a very shallow angle, a great shave with little to no blade feel can be accomplished. In a Fatip Grande at least!

    I would meet you or anyone from TSD that plans on going to Pasteur's. I have never been there, but I will sometime after the pandemic is over.

    I don't remember exactly when I bought my bottle of DCCS but it doesn't have the stopper like yours, it has a cork. Makes a mess if I don't use the included dropper.
