Arko Adjustable April April 24 Razor - 1962 (H2) Gillette Slim Blade - Soap - Arko Brush - I*V10 Hybrid. The Moreau Post - Alum Welcome to a thundery and rainy Friday evening. Storms moved in about the time I headed home so the timing was perfect. Had dinner and an early shave, for me. Stayed with the Slim and Sharp Star and switched to one of my I*V brushes. That hybrid badger/boar still makes me weak in the knees. Man is it a great feel and a great lather too! Arko has no chance against this knot. Three passes with the Slim and Sharp Star and it's as smooth as the first use. No problems and a BBS finish to go into the weekend strong! Hope you have a great one.

Yes, I improved my angle and that seemed to make the difference. Every razor is a different beast with a learning curve involved I find .
Thank you, Blair. Yes, I made this lidded bowl quite some time ago. It has housed a few different samples now. It is made from figured maple similar to the original 30DC LE brush.
In Seoul my gym only closed for a week. When you check in the do a temperature check, you have to wear a mask and hand sanitizer is everywhere. But no GX for the last two months, they said it will restart May 5
Imho, the shorter loft of the T2 is not a positive. Makes the knot seem a little smaller than the 24 mm it is. Full disclosure though, I bashed mine out of the original handle. I have another that I will set shallower.
those new simpson brushes looks fantastic..i really like the orange one,and the liquid gold, the sapphire is fantastic as well...
It’s a great piece of work! That’s where I was going to also. The PAA 400 switch back has a 24mm setting.
The advice below is good. You have what you need for the short term. Once the CrOx not longer keeps it sharp enough you will need a finished stone. Lapping films, synthetic stones and natural stones all work. Lapping films is the cheapest way to go. For easy of use I like synthetic stones, my choices are Naniwa 12k or a Shapton Glass 16 k. I have never used lapping films but I assume that are easy as synthetic stones. There are lots of opinions on stones and my take is there is just shades of differences but knowing how to use them is more important.
Saturday shave: This is my favorite combo, Dorko 6/8, Rooney best in butterscotch and Tabac shaving soap. An excellent shave as always with this combo. I went ahead with the Tabac EDC but then remembered, we do not have Piggly Wiggly in Korea.
I used too. Now I finish on 16k or 20k. I have a Shapton Glass 16k and Gokyumo 20k. I find the 16k is sharper and just as smooth as the 20k. I do always use pasted strops after the Stone. You should not need to go the stone very often.
Yes I did. Good thing I couldn’t order last night. After sleeping on things I will hold off on ordering the Tradere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
