Portland Razor Co Western grind kami. One my earliest razors and my first 'custom'. It is just a pleasure to handle and the edge has been a breeze to maintain.

Ah Cella... JR263 fitting perfectly in the smaller tub to apply a great lather.

W&B that was modified from a barbers notch into a Spanish point. Fun shaver.

13/16 Shell Silver Steel, soap was Klar lemongrass lathered with a TOBS brush, and a little Myrsol limon finished up a BBS shave. The Klar lemongrass smells very much the same as MdC agrumes BTW.

The Proraso Red Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #340 brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Rocket 5/8 gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Lilac Vegetal AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I used my Genco “Fluid Steel” this morning. I refreshed the blade earlier this week, so I had a wonderful two pass shave. I find the audible feedback enjoyable as I can hear the whiskers being mowed down.

    17. The 14 Friodur is always 8/8.

Nothing special, just edging the lawn today. I did decide to see how much Cella lather it would take to fill my Captain’s Choice copper bowl. I could have shaved a malamute... using a bigger razor. Dovo Barbarossa spanish point.

That’s true, I have both, I just couldn’t tell from the image.

I understand but in my original post I specifically stated it was a 7/8 which automatically tells you that it is a 17. I got this off of EBay and it was a NOS. It had the original red plastic case, the plastic sheath and the instruction sheet. I have had it over a year and paid less than $100 for it. She is a great shaver. I have probably used it no more than 15x, but I croxed it for the first time. It wasn't really necessary but I did it anyway. I am a little jealous that you have the 8/8 because haven't hit that mark yet. The closest razor to the full inch that I own is a late 1800's to early 1900's 15/16 Wostenholm near wedge.

No worries, a lot of folks - including me - are not always as meticulous about their widths. 8/8 isn’t hard, but it can be pricey depending on the brand. Many of the Gen 2 Filarmonica 14s are a tad wider than the Henckles 14.

I missed out on a Filarmonica 14N last year and it was also under 100 and shave ready. Now, the prices are ridiculous for any Filly that's in decent condition. I have 13 straights so I am not looking to add to my collection because I have nice pieces. However, I would like a 14 N Filly or a new custom straight, but it is out of my range for now.
