Thank you, Jeff! Your'e probably right--I tend to call any blood I see a weeper. I'm excited to jump into the straights, though still a bit daunted at the thought of maintenance and stropping
Thank you, Joe! Now that the muscle memory has kicked in, I can get in three passes without fatigue setting in. A month or two back, some of those shaves were excruciatingly long and I'd get pretty deep marks across my quads from leaning against the counter over the sink. I'm happy to say that a three pass shavette shave isn't nearly as exhausting as it used to be
April 27th Razor: Dovo Inox Brush: DSCosmetic 28mm Tuxedo PS, SS, and AS Proraso Green I'm going to call this one, "No New leaks". Good BBS shave with no mishaps but the nicks from yesterday's shave started bleeding again. That seems to be a common problem.
Awesome report, James! But slightly scary, too; I always figured the tree-topping test was bomb proof--if I can't rely on that, what else is there? Still, another step into the learning process--can't wait to see how shave #4 goes for you
These next 48 shaves are crucial to your progress. You have a good foundation, but you will see how you will exponentially improve with 3 pass shaves because it gives you more opportunities to handle the shavette I have been singing that song from day one. You will have some oops, but it will not be so frequent. You have past the point of no return. Congratulations!
There’s that brush again...magnificent. Excellent write up, Tim. Tomorrow will be ‘less red’, I am sure. Monday is over! I hope that isn’t just a rumour. Sorry about the red, James. Tomorrow is ‘nowhere to go but up’. A great Menthol Monday combo, Evan. Love the scales on that Dovo as well.
That's a great looking Proraso shave, Evan! I've said it before, but the scales on that Dovo are gorgeous
Great shave Evan! I have had shaves where I have had to watch over old mishaps. I tend to shave those areas very gingerly.
