It is intermittent and I can not see a pattern to it. Sometimes it will to load at all and times out, other times it works but very slow and sometimes it works just fine.
Yesterday late afternoon/ early evening (5-7pm EST) I could not access the home page. I had to start by selecting a previously visited “new posts” page from my history and then refreshing. (same issue as before) This morning (5am) the home page loaded instantly and everything seems fine.
Site seems to load much faster now, FWIW. I was also getting an initial hang before the page loaded up but the last day things have improved dramatically.
Hi Sparky. Today it's running flawlessly. When it was acting up, for me, it simply would not load the main page. OR, when trying to post a reply, it would act as if it were working, but then nothing. The multiple post issue, is because we users are impatient and hit "post reply" again...and maybe again. However, like I said, today it's working great. Thank you.
Same here. Unable to start by opening the home page. Tries for a bit and then tells me the server stopped responding. I went to my history and picked a previously visited page to get on. After gaining access I was able move around with the exception of getting to the home page easily. I was able to get there after a couple of attempts.
Slight hesitation this morning on mobile with loading the homepage. But, otherwise, greatly improved. As others have noted, going to a page in history (instead of a fresh page load) seems to help sometimes. edit: major delays with posting as of just now. Had to reload the page to see that my post (this one) in fact made it and then it was also still in the reply box as a draft.
Going to the homepage is hanging again. But going directly to latest alerts via bookmarks loads fine.
Once saw a board slow so badly that users began posting backward in time. Hope that doesn't happen here, would hate to see the bloody Lilac Vegetal wars fought all over again.
