Thanks, Jason--it really is one of the more ironic shaves I've had. But remember...

    Good morning!

Excellent shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Nearly silent alum.

I think I have the Hawk figured out.

2 passes on a tired blade for a comfortable irritation free shave today.

On April 29, 2010 I had my first DE shave. Using the banged up blade included with my Merkur 34c (my sampler did not arrive in time) with an old shedding Century brush my father had in the back of a drawer and a puck of Williams mug soap, I started on the path. The first shave was about as expected, a few minor cuts and lots of irritation. It wasn't bad enough to go back to the Mach 3, but it was far from a high quality shave. Over the ensuing months and years I started figuring things out. It took a while to learn and eventually fine tune my shaves, but I am happy that I did.

    Enjoy your day.
