Not so sure if its my fav car ever (because well, there are so many) but if i won the lotto, it would be the 1st thing on my mind to find. Absolutely love this since the day one rolled into the garage i was working in as a Saturday boy:

standard in canada and u.s..not eurolamps allowed in those years.these canadian volvos were assembled in halifax nova scotia.had to have canadian lamp standards..

I will guess the displacement isn't factory....

turbo engine gone.it has a canada/europe B23E .big port head, H cam .dad blew up the b21 turbo engine.hence sitting ..not a big deal this has turbo power with more torque..shaved head,porsche injectors..big exhaust and 3.91 gears..it.s a volvo.but a quick one..there are tons of cars that will beat it,but not tons of the same car..built a few.real sleepers.canada had ths engine for 2 years,81-2 GLT.manual of course..been in my family since 1991..i got it in 2013..

thank you Jon.original color,repainted in 1993.had a tan interior until i got it .first thing to go,it and the auto transmission,now a 5 speed,.was quick with the auto,but most turbos are.got a 92 240 charcoal interior complete.240s are like that ,everything bolts in.

The steering wheel is on the wrong side though

yes it is..no turbos 240s in england for that reason.no clearance past the turbocharger for the steering shaft..

Reminds me of my Ford Galaxy. Ford in their infinate wisdow stuck the Turbo at the back of the engine, under the driveshafts and wedged next to the sub frame.
All good until they go kaput and it takes two full days, a full ramp and mucho tools to change it $$$$$$$

makes sense.what year was it.ford discontinued the galaxy in 1969 here..was a rear wheel v-8 car.
