  1. Thanks, Tim! I have the opposite issue! I just can’t figure out how to shave with pivoting razors. Now a non issue, as I will never shave with one again. :)
  2. Thank you, Jim. I feel the same way- the soap is working, no need to hurry it up or bin it. The Reserve Cool is actually the only Reserve soap I have, but do have a couple others in splashes. I won't rebuy the Cool soap, but would buy the splash again as the scent really is top notch.
  3. Thanks, Jim! It was always there, it just wasn’t used as frequently as the others because of the blade tab issue, now resolved.

  5. Congrats on the new software, Joseph. Interesting what you had to go through to move the soap and also interesting to see the product list. Most people do say very good things about it, though. I hadn't heard of the splash.
  6. Fabulous shave and photo, Jason--those GEM's are great shavers!

I basically had the same experience as you and Jim with the Reserve Cool. For my last shave with it, I loaded twice as much as I usually do--the rest of the sample--and ended up with a pretty decent (and phenomenal smelling) lather. I'm glad I got a chance to get acquainted with Cool, and it was a bit of a wrestle to get things just right, but when everything was lined up, it made for some wonderful shaves. :D
  7. :eatdrink047: Congrats on ten years of great shaves, Dale.
  8. Fine shave Jason! I would think that a short loft would give you a stiffer synthetic brush and better beard lift. The only downside would be that you can't load a good amount of soap.
  9. Thanks, Jason. Look at this container.

  10. Great shave, Clint...and yes, you dare.;)
  11. So true Jason. However, I do go out for my daily 7-11 coffee and my 40 to 50 min walk at my local park. I need it to break up the monotony and stave off getting fat.
  12. Hope you and the family are well, Jimbo.
  13. Kind of you to say, Jeff. Thank you.

I used the iced water earlier this morning--it was amazing!

You're right, of course. For 7 years I used my cart shaving technique with wet shaving. They were far better shaves, but also far from perfect. Since joining the 30DC, it has already gotten better. I'm just trying to get that scale to slide faster :D
  16. Good post, Blair.
  17. Joe the Simpson fibers are already on the stiff side with a dense knot. The shorter loft really prevents the brush from splaying make loading and lathering more of a chore. It starts to give the impression of lathering with a nylon rope.
