Razor - Gillette Red Tip Super Speed
    Blade - sharp-star.jpg
    Soap - Proraso Green
Brush - Wolf Whisker Custom Grade A Silvertip
    Post - Alum

Sundays are my Friday. Not sure if that's why they're so tough to deal with or if it's just something about how things work on Sunday. Whatever it is, I'm tired and cranky. And no, I am NOT that old. Well, ok, maybe I am. Anyway, I decided to mix it up today and move to the Gillette Red Tip Super Speed. This is a really top notch example, as it was in mint condition when I obtained it from @Primotenore . It's definitely a show piece, but man can it shave when it comes out to play. Paired with the Sharp Star, this is luxury. Even by tossing in some Proraso I didn't hurt the feel and finish. Proraso is a really good soap for those who like the bargains and traditional winners. It was my first soap five years ago, which is partly why it got the call. The other reason? To throw something a bit "pedestrian" in with an otherwise top notch geared shave. The brush - Wolf Whiskers? Yeah. It's top notch too. But, when the weakest link in your shave is Proraso you've got a good shave going! Finish was BBS and it was a great 3 pass shave.

Fun memory of the day. Some of you are familiar with @HolyRollah . He's a legend on TSD for his straight razor knowledge and use, and an all around great guy. But......are you aware he's a prophet?? I have the proof. It was a short post back on December 28, 2014 as we worked our way to the start of this group. Chris @Bama Samurai had posted a pic of a knife and a soap stick. The response from Kevin prophesied two things. What some around here have found to do with knives, and a particular style of razor that Chris has mastered and become the grand master of teaching. You can find that prophecy HERE!

Have a great Monday and an even better week!

    Blade: Feather FHS (3)
    Brush: DSCosmetic Galaxy 26
    PS: Proraso Green

Pretty uneventful shave this morning. Not sure if stopping is preserving the blades edge... I may stop shaving for a while. DFS after 2 passes.

On the positive side, I decided to test my CNC program with some aluminum. I did learn a few things and gained a lot of confidence. I'm pretty sure I will be able to make a shave quality blade. It might not look good, but I can make a razor shaped object.

    Good morning!

Excellent shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. The alum was a little warm on my left jaw and my Adam's apple.

    Have a great day!
