The usual dependable Shave with the Mongoose, no problems and a nice close finish. The Brush really worked well with the soap, those Haslinger containers are a bit on the small side.

The Arko Shave Soap Stick face-lathered well with Tom's 3D Printed Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the AutoStrop A1 with a Gem Blue Star SE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Clubman Pinaud AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Razor : Gem Junior 1912 Parade variant- mfg 1943- one of my favorites with the baton handle!
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE (9) great all around blade, sharp, somewhat smooth & has longevity.
Soap: Tabac- good lather qualities and lasts and lasts...... triple milled!
Brush: Razorock Plissoft 24 mm- been using this one for 3 1/2 years and it still like the day I purchased it.
Pre-shave: Shower, brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of Aloe vera gel on beard.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Post shave: Pinaud Clubman with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results : CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = great shave with my Gem jr 1912

I used what is probably my favourite standard AC/SE Razor, and went for a quick Shave, rather than an ultra close one. This Razor/Blade combo is very smooth and seems to encourage me to speed up The Shave, so I finished it rather quickly. Must use the Soap a bit more as very creamy, I think I should create a bowl version by grating some spare sticks that I have.

 

Oh, how I've missed these!

Since switching to use of this Feather blade Shave have been progressively better. Today the Shave was trouble free and I am very pleased at the quality of the Shave in areas. I shall be checking with interest the amount of regrowth tomorrow, as some 6 hours my skin is still quite smooth.

 

Sunday Schick Shave, April 03 2020. I like to have a different Schick injector shave on Sundays and it is so easy with Schick's because they loved to make all kinds of different ones from Theme series to practical razors. Today is the Schick 500 series and it is by far the longest handle in my collection of Schick's measuring 5 3/8 inches from bottom to top.
I think any longer a razor handle would be not be all that beneficial to most IMO, but it is a unisex razor and has the Hydro magic feature that I use to clean the blade. Beautiful razor and shaves well!

Razor: Schick 500 injector with Hydro magic, a nice long handle for some at 5 3/8 inches LG, Mfg 1957-64
Blade : Personna SS PTFE (4) Very sharp and smooths out after a few shaves with good longevity IMO.
Soap: Razorock XXX- Nice scent with excellent lather qualities!
Brush : Yaqi Tuxedo knot 24mm "Sagrada Familia " named after a Barcelona Cathedral in Spain.
Pre shave: Brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Post shave: Razorock Emperor aftershave with witch Hazel + a dollop of Nivea Sensitive balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = excellent shave with my Schick 500 injector.

As Yesterdays Shave with this Razor/Blade combo went so well, I decided the time was right to test it as a Daily Shaver. Using my fail safe Vitos, the Shave was exceedingly smooth, and trouble free apart from me causing a weeper on the chin by pushing it. Again I was pleased with the quality of the finished Shave.

MicroMaticMonday , May 4, 2020 Thought I would change something today and lathered with my CeraVe hand bar cleanser because I find it to have slickness with not a lot of lather . I was cleaning my face with CeraVe and one of those last minute thoughts I'm going to try it. I had my Haslinger Schafmilch in the bowl for a back up if things went hay wire.
Results indicated I should of used more soap but it did the job & will work if needed, not as good as some shave soaps and will do another test down the road( I have a lot of good soaps to wean down).

Razor: Gem Micromatic (open comb) or MMOC.... - Mfg 1932-41-great mid range, this saved Gem Mfg during the dirty thirties IMO and was the first TTO to appear anywhere. Folks, Gem was a great innovator & years ahead of its rivals.Gillette was like 4 or 5 years behind in their TTO- they did build some good ones when they finally got to the public.
Blade: Gem SS PTFE (10) great blade all the way around, Very sharp, smooths out and has longevity.
Soap: CeraVe hand bar cleanser- will work and I will do a better test instead a last minute thought.
Brush: Yaqi Kashmire 24 mm - dedicated brush for cleaning my whole face.
Pre-shave: Brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Post shave: Razorock blue barber splash with witch Hazel + Nivea sensitive balm.
Results: CCS+DFS+BBS + no irritation + 1 weeper = good shave overall.
