Fantastic photos and report, Joseph--a wonderful line up today! :D

I recall you mentioning what a pain that bottle is (there is evidence of that on the streaks on the label), but it looks amazing. I wonder if some type of restrictor could be fashioned so you get the best of both worlds--form and function?

Thanks Tim! I probably will do a few more honings with some of my other razors before the end of the year. Right now, 4 of my 13 razors have been lapped. I probably will hone my vintage W F Engel and possibly my vintage F Herder. I will shave with them one more time and make a determination to hone or hold off doing it.

Two Occam DE's today! It really is a beautiful razor. Wonderful menthol-y travel shave--if you can't travel, you can at least bring the travel to you :D

Razor: Drew Dick 7/8” Quarter Hollow Purple Heartwood
Brush: Shore Shave Creamsicle Swirl 24 mm White Synthetic
    Lather: Declaration Grooming Original
    Aftershave: Stirling Vanilla Sandalwood
    Additional Care:
    Barbero Alum Block
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original

New to the den week. I happen to enjoy many of the Declaration Grooming (DG) and the Declaration Grooming/Chatillon Lux (DG/CL) products. I have 11 currently in the den. The current Milksteak formula is fantastic, not that the other bases were lacking, in scent and glissade.

Once again a three pass iced water shave did not disappoint. The Drew Dick quarter hollow easily mowed down the stubbles. As I get more comfortable with this blade, I am reach enjoying the weight of the razor and it’s ease of use.
(Currently I have two razors from the talented Drew Dick. The second is a half hollow 7/8 Damascus)

The finishing touches of the alum block followed by the witch hazel left the face ready for the splash. Additionally, I did not get any negative feedback, excessive burn, as the block passed over the moisten shaved area.

Finally, the Stirling Vanilla Sandalwood is a nice way to end the entire process. I love the hint of vanilla mixed with the sandalwood.

    Have a fabulous day brothers.

Another beautiful pic, Clint. I know you don't really like that handle, but that Synth knot looks fantastic- perfectly formed and dense. I hope the doctor's visit is as uneventful as you hope.

Art of Shaving SC - Oud
    Zenith Synthetic
    Blackland Vector or ShaveSmith Kamisori
    Proline B-30
    Thayers Witch Hazel - Lavender
Art of Shaving Cologne Intense - Oud Suede

Busy working weekend...so to keep it simple I used the same tools for the past 4 days. Friday - Vector, Saturday - SS Kamisori, Sunday - Vector, Today - SS Kamisori.

Zenith synthetic made quick work of the Art of Shaving SC every day.....in fact, I've got a donut showing. While the Zenith synthetic is a very nice example....it doesn't have anything on the Simpson T3 (which is half the $, delivered), nor does it compete with the Omega EVO, which is ~$10 more. It's a nice brush, slightly much backbone for me. AoS Oud SC....since a circle of death is showing, I'll likely not replace it (but I will put it on a gift list, which makes it an easy purchase for wifey if the local store lasts). The Oud fragrance is very pleasant and a wifey favorite. AoS SC lathers instantly, quite easy to face lather into yogurty bliss. Unfortunately the in between swipe face feel is slightly 'too clean' feeling, most artisan shave creams/soaps have the edge with the 'skin nourishment' feel (at least for me). All four days of shaving between the two razors.....2 passes with neck/jawline touch ups. 3 of the days were DFS+ shaves....but Saturday was a very early 4:30am shave, and without enough caffeine, ended up a DFS, as there was a rough spot on the neck. Thayers Witch Hazel, always a great after shave splash for a great skin feel, followed by AoS Oud Suede Cologne Intense. This will always be a repurchase, it's woodsy leathery aroma is one of a kind, subtle, lasts all day, and quite near intoxicating to my nose.

Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Very nice, Blair. I didn't even know that Zenith makes a high end Synth, to be honest. Sounds like a bit of a 'meh' review of it. Is it new to you?
